Okay so i did in fact build a driveshaft before you asked but ah it failed

Broke a ujoint. It needed to be replaced when i took it apart to build the driveshaft.

But here is how the 4runner sits now.

Inside the needle bearing area on the tube-side yoke the roller bearings are missing inside that center piece from when it broke. Is that repairable or do i have to cut off the ifs double cardon yoke and put another one?

so you're only missing the needle bearings? how exactly did it break? sounds like you could just replace the u-joint...

btw, Runner looks good Mike

Thank you.

This part on the very left is missing the roller bearings.
I believe a ujoint broke which caused the whole thing to separate.

cheapest option is probably just to replace the whole thing with a JY unit... you can get the individual parts, but it'd probably cost you more.

P.S. doors fit

Well, i placed an order for a custom driveshaft on Wed. i think.

Supposed to be done soon, so as soon as i get my paycheck ill be picking up the drivehsaft and testing out the truck offroad.

Springs have settled a little bit, still looks retardly sagged in the back though. Oh well it will have to work for now.

Thank you.

If you need help let me know.

You will be surprised, once you get the ifs cutoff it doesn't take much longer to get that axle hung.

If i could give one recommendation to you, just from the problems i had, if you know someone with a torch or plasma cutter, go take your truck and have those shackle tubes welded in before you start your cut. If i would have done that it would have saved me a BUNCH of time.

YES!! You can give me as many recommendations as you are willing to type!
Your swap looks great. Any advice from you would be great.
Do you mean cut the hole with the plasma and have them welded in prior to the cut??
Thanks

If i were do do mine again that is what i would definitily do. I talked about doing it but never got around to it, so i cut those holes after i cut the ifs off, and it was a major PITA for me.

Other than that. Try to have your axle ready to go before you start chopping, made for much less down time.

Im sure ill think of some more later, but thats all i have for now.

Got my front driveshaft tonight from Paradise Driveline.

Put it in and drove it down the street to see how bad it would vibrate.
Hubs locked Tc in 2wd: got past 25mph no problem. didn't go faster.
Hubs locked TC in 4wd: Vibrates pretty bad past 10mph on the road.

Ooooooohh im soooo pumped to go see what it is like in the snow this weekend.
