(DAD answering)

From EBAY.....I'm pretty sure it was Sonic Electronix...not exactly sure, just search it on EBAY...I believe around $20 or so...again not sure, bought them in the summer.

To mount: 2 sided tape on the bracket to hold it still and then hose clamps....holds them really still.

Yet to hera what the speakers sound like so they may actually be crap, but tey look good, but no stereo installed yet.

Nice job.. thanks for sharing the knowledge.. Being in Miami with a removable top has me thinking i should prep the whole interior for a day i get caught with my pants down (meaning the top off on a rainy day). It would be awsome to be blasting tunes driving down the street on a really rainy day and have people wonder if im crazy or just waiting to short circuit something..lol

we put them on in such a way that we could still put a bikini top on it and they would not be in the way.

don't have soft top for it yet though.

I second the request for the speaker pics. I have toyed with the idea of doing this myself. One could probably even modify a set of the waterproof speakers sold for ski boats and make it work well.

Keep it up! This is a great project. I learned most of what I know about cars while working on Volkswagens with my dad. Good times.

Uh-huh.

Actually this thread should be called "what I did last summer"....since all this took place between April and about August or September until I seriously started (operative word "started") working on my truck...

But hahahaha anyway.
