Good job. I've bought the paint and I've got to paint my top before the garage gets too cold. The Softopper will probably stay on it all winter though. Unfortunately I've ended up using the top as a work table. It's covered in 1st gen parts right now.

Trying to keep up progress on this thing before nasty weather hits. I picked up a fancy new angle grinder this week. I have some decent rust in the front fenders on the typical spots. Been contemplating a front fender hack job. Also going to be replacing a clutch master cylinder this weekend. Any tips regarding the fenders? I do not have a welder... yet =]

What's your vision for the truck? IMO they are going to be worth more unhacked but if you plan on building it for off road go ahead and hack. From your pictures I don't see rusty fenders but I do see an undercarriage you need to get after. You can buy decent after market fenders for the front. I used fiberglass to repair the rear of mine four years ago and it has held up well. I have a build thread link in my signature. You could also cut rear fender sections from a junk 4Runner and rivet and glue them to yours. That's how the fiberglass parts that Slacker makes are applied. You could even order parts from him. They use auto body glue now for a lot of modern repairs. If you are trying to preserve the paint job you have mask off a line and paint the bottom with truck bed liner.

Spent some more time on it this weekend. i followed the guide terry posted early in this thread so I can actually have a heater this winter. got everything pulled out of the dash and pulled all this out of the vents. My heater works now! As for a plan, this truck is my daily driver and I live in kansas. Theres not much in terms of offroading out here so I have been contemplating a blazeland kit for the front and maybe some 63s in the back.

Hey Yotatech, sorry I have been MIA, I still have the 4runner and have been some smalls mods to it here and there. Im in a predicament now. Its time to make a decision on SAS or blazeland. I poked around a bit more underneath it and there is a decent amount of rust on the shock mounts and a arms so I am a bit weary to just bolt on some long travel and call it good. Ideally I would like to SAS this, but I lack the tools and knowledge to complete it myself so heres my plea. If anyone is in the Wichita Kansas area and would be willing to help me out I would be forever in their debt.
