friend's ex...

anyways, update for the day: flywheel and Marlin clutch are in, manual trans is in, starter is in, pedals are mounted, and master is mounted. had to order a new mount from work (Napa) since the first one i got was wrong, so once that's here i can bolt everything up for good. gotta pick up some hardlines and run those, get the wiring sorted out, trim the floor for shifters, bleed the clutch, fill up the trans and t-case, and possibly pull the axle forward an inch on the perches. later on i'll get the console all figured out and looking nice again, not really an issue right now. only took a few pics... gotta get my camera working and i'll post them up.

by the way, here are few sites i used for info on the swap... might help others in the future.

Nice! Those duals must be sex... But I think they'll be overkill in my diesel hehe, maybe two stock cases...

I'm starting my SAS in 5 days! Will look for sure to this thread when I'm in doubt hehe

looks good you can still keep your auto trans and still run dual cases just get the adapter from inchworm.

i'n gonna keep wacthing as i'm hoping to do a 5spd swap on my runner next year. i'm planing on using a turbo trans, with t-case and 4.7s as it would be cheaper than using a v6 trans with the adapter,t-case and cross member...but anyway keep up the good work

well the new tranny mount worked, and everything is solid finally. gonna measure for the hardline tonight, pick that up at work tomorrow, and get as much done tomorrow after work as i can... ran into a little bit of a problem though. driveshaft is way too short, like 3+" too short... so that's gotta be taken care ASAP. i'll keep you guys posted on what i do.

swap is done, for the most part. waiting on my driveshaft still... but once i get that it's test drive time. still need to put the dash back together today, and figure out the console. can't wait to drive this thing.

wiring

There are only three wiring issues that MUST be accounted for in an auto to manual swap. The neutral/start, ADD, and reverse lights. The neutral/start is the most straight forward. To get it running, connect the two biggest wires that run into the lever select on the auto wiring harness. The reverse lights are as simple as putting the tranny in reverse and touching the wires together until they come on. I still have not figured out the ADD, so I bypassed the ADD sylenoid/vacuum system and have my ADD flange constantly connected. This is fine for me because I have manual hubs.

actually not sure how the chevy got out... i was at camp. i know he blew a bead (with beadlocks) and bent his rim, so i think he just aired it back up and backed out. i could be wrong though.

Your 4runner is looking really good. I can't believe it is almost as tall as Joey's. I just talked to Guy, any pics of them rolling in the S10?

it's a little lower than Joey's... but still on the tall side. it's suprisingly stable though.

here's a pic of the S10 in Tank Trap. i'll see if i can find a better one...

He works for my dad and actually he is going to be working for me doing tile work tomorrow.

Joey's rig is tall! You should have seen it when it still had the rack and everything on top. I was following him through stuff at hollister and his hi-lift kept snagging everything.
