I've been going to Jim back since he owned the Yota Yard (before he lost it in the divorce). I've never not been able to get a part I need from him. I love his place. I picked up my dash harness at the Pull and Pay for $20. The Cash For Clunkers program has put a lot of V6 4runners in the salvage yards and I've been taking advantage of it I think my engine harness (from a V6) was $27. My 4runner is a 22RE and similar ones are harder to find at these salvage yards. I'm finishing the last few steps on putting my turbo on my 22RE to make it a 22RTE. The block is a 22RTE that came out of my old 2nd gen pickup. When I get this conversion finished I'm selling this motor to further fund my 1UZ project. If I can come close to breaking even I'll be very happy. But if I don't no big deal.

My harness has the old toyota starting problem where it loads the starting circuit. I have put in a separate starting relay to make it work. But the other reason is so I can do all my wiring before I put my 4runner down for the transplant (it's my daily driver). I am trying to have it down for as little time as possible.

No the misses didn't have a job for a while so I didn't have the money. We are gonna come out near the end of the year. I'm just trying to scrape up the money to put the finishing touches on her so she is road worthy.

Nice build, good job.
The wiring kinda intimidates the ˟˟˟˟ outa you at first dont it?! I wired one into my 92 (on here) and was shocked how easy it is with the factory wiring manual.

NICE NEW TOY! .... ooh, and radiator as well! lol. Can't wait for the videos of you doing donuts and then doing 90 in third up the "Whatever" mountain pass that you were stuck doing 45 on, previously! lol. Nice work, man..... what's next, besides wiring clean up?

killer b yeah at first it was a bit of an issue but the major issue was getting the time and ambition to do it. right now im working on putting my security system.

chef im worknig on my alarm system now and i am waiting on my friend to finish my tranny and sub throttle simulator. im sure i could make it my self but he bulds computers and im sure it will come out a little better.
i got my fans to. a set of 10 inchers that pull 950cfm each. was gonna try an use some 18 gauge sheet steel to make a shroud but there is not enough roon without having a plasma torch of have it water jeted to cut it out fine enough.

well i put my fans in they just need to be wired. wont be hard. i need to find a temp switch to use. the one i bought wont thread into any of the holes that are already in the engine, and i dont want to make any new ones.

also put the engine covers on that i got from RMA. its crazy how much a few trim pieces make things look better.

got some more done i used the stock intake and cut the silencer off and did a little bit of plastic welding to plug up the holes and picked up a K&n filter and it turned out pretty good. i was looking at the one dunkin used and noticed he has no fuse box on the right finder as i do and the intake fould run into it as it dose not have enough of a bend. so this will do until i get good with the tig and make my own.

i also cleaned up the right finder and all the wiring on that side. i started to wire the fan controls. but had to go meet someone to sell a hitch so i got cut a little short. im hopeing monday night to have the radiator back in with fully worknig cooling fans.

Shaggy.....I'm really impressed. Once again, 'GREAT write up!' and attention to detail!

I bet you can't wait to say, "lucky to get to 80? YEAHHHHH, right! Try, 'easy to get to 90 in 3rd!' " HAHAHA.
