1989 toyota crank no start
I just bought a 1989 toyota pickup with a 22re and manual in it and it will crank and start with starting fluid until it burns it all up. New fuel pump and filter what do you guys think?

I'm not an expert with those systems, but it sounds like your injectors are losing power (or continuity). Could very well have something to do with the bad ground you found. Also, it wouldn't hurt to check your chassis grounds. IIRC there is even a standalone EFI relay in the engine bay fuse block. Relays are cheap, it wouldn't hurt to replace that just to eliminate it as a potential source of your problem.
