Outsane,
My A/C diode failed recently and would stick the fan on all the time, mine is connected to the battery not the ignition, so it can run whenever it feels like it(MD doesn't get too many days over 100*f). DCC told me that the A/C clutch can stick and it will backfeed the line, IDK, he said it could have been a diode failure on the A/C, they have a new chip for my controller that doesn't let this spike affect the controller....don't know if this could have happened to yours also.

It's not a hard job, give it a shot. Just be gentle on the aluminum fittings.

Dont know if one of the big home stores might have something to cap those off. Never run into that. But I would want ot get them covered also. Somehow I would find away to short it with a wrench if it was uncovered.

If you can't find caps for those treminals at any of the auto or home stores you could try an electrical whole sale place like C.E.D, ESSCO, or WESCO.

You will find caps for those at a boating/marine supply store.

from Amazon:
150 Surge Amps, 75 Amps Carry for 5 Minutes....
What is that suppose to mean on an advertized continuous duty solenoid...doesn't continuous imply ...uh... continuous?

Is that the one that melted? I'd try to get a refund for misleading information.

The Nissan Quest/Mercury Villager fan i use, had 20amp relays attached to them. Now those relays IIRC are rated for 65amp surge, then 20amp constant.

i hope you get that sorted out, i know the feeling of wondering if the efan is going to kick on or not.

good luck

Started to tear out the carpet, to dye and insulate the floor board and found I had a clutch master cylinder leak..

Ordered a new Master cylinder that night.. drove to work..and it was hard to shift..

got home.. and the slave was leaking bad...

So I have now replaced the master and slave cylinder, I bought a new rubber clutch line to replace the old one.. .. but the old one didn't look bad and it would be a pain to replace..

I got to change the Master on my runner and slave on my flat bed. Not a bad job, on the Master Cylinder, make sure and keep the collar/ "O" ring under the fluid tank. It can be easy to miss and will leak.

Bench bleeding it makes it alot easier before installing it.

I just used some soap and water and got the metal cleaned before putting Peel and Seal on. It makes a difference. I think before I am all done with it I will use a total of 4 rolls. It made a big difference.

I must have done all this several months ago...

Pulled the carpet and power washed it

Here is what it looked like after the first coat... I ended up using 3 cans

the Booger helped me out a bit, mostly by not crying and being a good boy

Starting to lay down the peel and stick after wiping down the body with water and simple green

More peel and stick I used a razor blade to make my cuts

Starting to lay down the carpet

Back carpet all in and I tossed a seat in to drive to work for the week

Front end

Front Carpet in

Passenger side

I am not a fan of dying carpet, much of the dye has already worn off.

going to have to buy new carpet..

I am a fan of the Peel and stick
