Having all kinds of issues with the mill

dropped the rear diff and put back in the 4.88 with soft locker...

the old one was starting to grenade itself, lots of metal chunks..

put in a new 1" master cylinder

Also mounted some power mirrors, still need to wire up and power them..

thinkin about doing this, where'd you buy it from?
noticeable performance difference? kinda weird for me reading about all the brake upgrades people do, with my manual trans i've never got my brakes hot, or had any trouble stopping....even with the 35s. let me know if you see a huge difference

Lots of places sell it:
Lowrangeoffroad
Trailgear
Etc..

Made a big difference in mine but I also added the v6 calipers. Pedal feel is hard but manageable. I have the single diaphragm booster which I think is why it is hard

I'm doing this same mod. But I'm also going power windows too. I just need to pick up my Master window control switch and i'll be set. I already got the mirrors to work and the windows partially working (hence the replacement switch).
You're gonna love the mod!

pulled it out last week

First pattern from last night

backside

seems a little shallow...

then we had an issue with the Solid Pinion spacer not fitting on the Pinion..

this was a New G2 pinion solid spacer and a new Yukon gear set... sucks..

Outsane - just did my gears not long ago. I agree with you, that's a tad shallow. Do you mind sharing what your backlash and pinion shim value is? I'm pretty sure if you ask ZUK, he will tell you that is shallow as well, he seems to prefer slightly on the deep side for strength. That stinks on the solid spacer (maybe they sent you the wrong one?), but good choice on the Yukon gears.

Here's my final pattern:

Thanks cory, I had a buddy help set up my gears and the patter is much better..

I got some leaf springs from Redeth, and threw them in the front to replace the old downeys.....

the bushings on the old springs were pretty shot... but the height is just about the same, I am hoping to put the rears in and not have to use the Zuk mod..

Interesting. So what is (a soft locker)? Nice job on installing the gears and setting them up yourself. Also didnt know that they had power mirrors an option??Sweet

I swapped in the rear and front leafs from Redeth going to need some more poly bushings.

New Springs mean I could remove the zuk mod

The rig sits pretty slanted with the springs in... I may have to try and swap them left to right to try and fix that..

I picked up a 8274 Warn winch off a friend with a steel cable..

It will not mount in the Addicted to Offroad bumper I have on the rig...

going to have to either build a new one or modify this one...

Lee if it continues to sag you might want to try adding one or 2 leafs from your old stock ones.

I had to do that with the first set of AllPro springs I got before I returned them for a bigger lift. That trick seemed to even out my rig perfectly. Look through my thread from when I SAS'd and you'll see how I did it. Although I don't think I had added springs to the set I sold you. I just used them the way they were. They sagged a little on my truck too but I was okay with it.

What's the issue with the Warn not fitting? The Smittybuilt XRC8 I installed on mine was a pretty tight fit, for sure.

That 8274 is a big winch height and depth wise. I would think it would be a stretch to fit it on a traditional winch mounted bumper without some modifications.

great find on the 8274...they are money and highly modifiable. I'm guessing you may have to push the mounting plate out a bit or clearance the grill....or just send it to me.

Redeth I'll take a look at your thread on adding leafs.

8274 is about 8.5 inches deep, while the space in the bumper is about 6.5 or so..

Also the upper mounting bolts are 4.5 inches high...

there will be lots of modification needed to get this bad boy in..
