The reason the console isn't in is due to the fact that I broke it during some hard wheeling in January. If you want it for parts its yours.

Plans for the weekend are:

take off the pizza cutter 35's and put on the 37's, check for clearance issues
finish wiring up the bed lights
finish up the rock light install
find a place for the blue seas fuse block. I might have to relocate the Ford horns somewhere closer to the grille
begin to check out that everything is mechanically sound and nuts/bolts are tight

One bad Toy ! Wish mine looked half that good. Did u paint the interior floor or coat it with something ? Also, what was the reason for v6 rear, I always heard 4cyl rears were plenty strong. Appreciate the info, keep it up.

Well I went with the V6 rear for the strength. I blew it up wheeling. My spare 3rd is a 4cyl w/ 5.29's and an Aussie which I switched in after the breakage and its been going super strong ever since, go figure

That they are. I need a wheeling trip with the 37's to see how they stuff and the the bumps will be shortened or possibly taken off completely.

Going wheeling next weekend in Gilmer at Barnwell Mountain so I should get an idea of what needs to be done.

Love your truck I have an 85 also with at 7" lift and 35" tires on 15" wheels do you think I could also fit 37" tires but I have 4.88 gears will that work.

Also do you think 7" front and 9" lift in the rear is too much lift for a street truck mostly as I an going for looks as I mostly wheel in deep sand in Corpus Christy.

Right now it is 7" f/r and this is all suspension but I was thinking of putting in 2" blocks in the rear.

thanks

Had a slight problem with one of my tires as of late.......

So I have been catching up on getting some stuff installed that has been sitting on the shelf for a long time..

Got my HID's installed from DDM tuning 35W 6000K Hi/Lo H4

Looks damn bright. Pics dont do it justice

Relocated my Ford horns to the front of the grill to make room for my next mod

Had to move the horns up front for the the install of the Blue seas 12 circuit fuse block. I made up a 4ga power and ground cable for that as well.

Finally got my bed lights powered up. I ran the switch to one of the blank spots above the radio and used a 12V 30 Amp relay

Switch not completely installed but working. I was chasing down a bad ground and a couple blown fuses

Relay setup that will be under the hood

Now i just need my warranteed tire to come in and Ol Red will be ready to roll again

I got the housings online cant remember where though. they were only 20 buck each or so. they took the H4 bulbs.

I ordered the 35W Raptor 6000K H4 with the hi/lo bulb and wire harness and a set of the Ballast mounting brackets from DDM

Okay, im just waitining to get the housings first. So you got the Raptor HID Kit and not the DDM HID Kit Slim Ballast?(10 buck difference) Oh, and i cant seem to find a wire harness, isn't it already supplied in the kit?How happy are you with the light output? I noticed they got a 55w version but if the 35w is enough than ill get those.

You gotta post more recent pics!!

Are you from Austin? I'm planning to go to the event at hidden falls on Oct 22. Just finished my rig ( for now) maybe we can hook up and show me some beginner trails.

I bought the truck in Austin. I live in Houston. I probably wont be wheeling again until after the first of next year since I am getting married in November and my honeymoon is in December.
