The 14" Bilsteins I got should work well up front.
The 12" Billsteins should be in this week so we can get the rear finished up.

Sky's rear hoop for top mounting points. Lower mounting tabs on middle rear of housing.

New Pacesetter LT header

Hanger pad

IFS box wainting to get stabbed in.

Front hanger fully welded in. Fabbing new front body mounts now.

Took the truck to the local exhaust shop:

Winch and fairlead mounted up

TG Rock rings

Front Long Spline Driveshaft

Flowmaster 40

Liscense plate mounted up in rear

Well I got to wheel a little on Jan 13th for the TX Lonestar Jamboree at Barnwell Mountain in Gilmer TX. It was my firts time to the OHV park and the maiden voyage of my 85.
The truck did great considering i have wheeled IFS rigs my whole life.
Did have one issue though

At least they have warranty No more trying to catch 1st and 2nd gear w/ the 4.7's and a lot of skinny pedal. Lesson learned :o
Got it changed out:

Got back to wheeling:

Watched my friend Alex lose a wheel infront of a crowd

And just overall had a blast besides the weather being total crap

The rest of my pics are here
http://s241.photobucket.com/albums/f...011/?start=all

After wheeling at Gilmer, these mods are at the top of my list:
I need a hand throttle - found one on Quadratec
My brakes are crap - going to upgrade to the FJ60 vented rotors and IFS calipers
Still need to chop down my front DS a little. This week hopefully
Need to finish installing all the other crap that hasnt got on the truck yet or is incomplete including:
-install my grant steering wheel done
-fix my horn since it doesnt work done
-extend both axle breathers done
-get some juice to my winch so its actually usable done
-install my rock lights done
-need new windshield wipersdone
-need to reseal the windshielddone
-cut down my front driveshaft on the axle side to reduce bottoming out on compressiondone
-get the fuel gauge working and a find a larger fuel tank

After all of that I will concentrate on getting my duals set up with a bunch of Marlin Crawler goodies:
MC07-R10 rotated dual adapter
Twin or Triple sticks
30 spline chromoly front output shaft upgrade
30 spline chromoly rear output shaft upgrade

Spent most of the past weekend getting the garage organized and parts/tools sorted with a little yard work in the mix as well. Got my warranteed G2 gears in from Davez Offroad on Thurs along with a new bearing retainer and front output shaft for my extra Top Shift TC. Also need to pick up a Trickle Charger from a wheeling buddy tomorrow as well (for free I might add) to temporarily fix my charging prob till I get that figured out. Going to take my gears to get set up tomorrow and pull the Red truck in the garage for the first time. Cant wait. Going to have tons of room to tear it up.
You dont realize how muck crap you really have on hand until you actually organize it I need to unpack a few more boxes and then Im good to go.
Got the truck into the garage yesterday. It fits nicely.

My stash of parts:

Started ripping out the interior: seats carpet, shifter boots etc.... Found a little rust but not too much.
I also started investigating my weird steering issue. The tie rod had backed off and was finger tight. Kinda scary. Also found a loose ground which could be contributing to my battery discharge prob. Removed my head unit to clean up the wiring a little and possible change it out.

Interior stripped out:

Horn set up:
Relay by front headlight

Dont mind the misc. wiring. I will have it all cleaned up
Grant steering wheel:

BTW if you have the ground and hot wire switched on the horn button, the horns will scare the crap out of you when power is added
Here was the Janky power wire that goes from the battery to the main fuse box. I replaced it with some 4 ga power wire I had laying around.

I also started on Installing my RogerBrown light wiring harness but didnt get it finished up.
Frond and rear diff breathers are done. Front routed to the firewall and the rear mounted by the gas cap under the fuel door.

I got my shifter cover mocked up and the holes drilled out last night. It will use the OEM screw holes to attach it to the transmission tunnel. I still need to cut the holes out of the shifter boots when I bring a jigsaw home from work.

I wanted to make sure that everything was good and dry before I reinstalled the trim, interior, seats and radio. After a week I guess it is dry enough
The main reason I wanted to do it was to measure for the console that i want to pick up. It looks like it might just fit. I have 30 inches from the shifter cover to the rear of the cab and almost 9 inches acrosss the tranny tunnel between the seat belt latches. The console is 12 or 13 inches tall, so it is about the perfect dimension.

I also put a fresh coat of paint on my sliders to cover up some gouges from Gilmer. They dont look half bad painted. I cant wait to get my new ones on though.

37/12.5/15 Super Swamper SSR's

Im going to need to trim the rear fenders a little bit. I had planned on that already.

Hand throttle 99% complete. I just need 1 wire crimp. One word of wisdom becareful of the positive terminal on the battery when the using any metal conductor under the hood. The inner steel cable conduct electricity good enough to create a nice arc under the hood and give you some nice burns on your fingers

CB finally hard mounted :

Ill try it there first and see how in the ways it is.

That Where I am as of last night

Got my main power disconnect wired into the system. Im still making a bracket to hold it securely

Got my front half of the Drivehaft cut down finally and DS reinstalled/greased up

Painted the Hi Pinion while I was down there. It was looking a liuttle crusty

Got my winch wired up. I did have a little problem though. This is where good knowledge of a multimeter comes in handy. One of the solenoids in the control box is bad and luckily Patrick (Scotia) stopped by and help me figure it out. The winch would spool out fine, but wouldnt spool in. Its mounted anyhow. the control box location is temporary until I figure out a better spot. Turns out the solenoid I need to replace was new and replaced but with the wrong 24v counterpart. No biggie though.

Thanks man. I just need some more time to finish up some needed mods:

Get the 37 SSR's mounted on the 15x10 Outlaw II wheels, Finish up some electrical maintenance, Finish my duals (crawl box, skid, DS mods), hydro assist and mostly wheel it

Just wanted to post a little schematic on how I aran the Ford horns that Keith so generously donated

Started my Rock light install. I didnt get too far. They are the Vision X Tantrums.

Got my winch control box mounted up. I just used an L bracket I had laying around and attached it to the winch via the front allen bolt that screws into the center suppport of the winch.

I fixed the ground issue I had with my horn set up.

Rattle canned my rear bumper. At least all the armor matches now.
