85 XCab project

New to this site with a new project. Ended up selling my 08 tacoma (which was great) after deployment so I could send my 83 pickup out here but after the shipping company wasted my time I came accross this 85 here in AZ. The owner had a sweet FJ project going and needed the money so I picked it up for 2500! It's 85 XCab 5speed with a rebuilt 3.8l V-6, new 4.11 gears front and rear, rear detroit locker, stock trans and transfercase, interior is nicer with ranger seats. Ramsey winch 4x Hella lights. Chevy springs with Rancho shocks. Biggest problem so far is the unfinished wiring. He even threw in a camper shell! Its a pretty good start, More to come

Ya I have some room to work with. Im trying to plan for high water since I see that as being the biggest problem when i get back east. Need to really clean up some wiring and get rid of all the extra crap. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a ramsey rep8000 winch? Not really sure how I should run it.
After this basic stuff is done ill get the high steer and dual t-cases next!!
Thanks for all the posts

Will do. Why does shotty wiring always seem to be an issue when you buy a used toyota? Every yota ive bought has some rediculous birds nest of wires. Sorry for the rant good luck with yours simpleman703.

I am hoping that sealed/waterproof relays are part of the solution. I ordered 10 of them from parts express. My only concern is they were really cheap ($$) but i guess i will find out. As for any other wiring you have im not to sure what to do. Silicone the distributor perhaps? Im new to the 4x4 truck thing. My Yamaha Rhino was a beast in the water, may she rest in peices.
