Hello 1986...I have finally found the the truck again.lol It was buried underneath all of the 86 runners parts. Still got the 86 windshield in the cab and a trunk mat for the 88 on the rear of its frame. I have been accumilating bodyworking materials so when it gets warm for the season I can start doing body work on it.
I also have a new clutch and a carburator for it. Basically I have everything to get it together and get it running. I was talking to my dad a few days ago and he just retired so I want to help keep him busy. I could do it myself but thought I would get him involved in help putting it back together. Besides he does know carburators better then me. (Dirtdobber, where are you?? jk)
I get the head for the 86 this coming Friday and hope to have it running next week. I have been thinking about it and would like to possibly have both running on the same day or week. Once I get the head back it is just reassembly. Dont know if things will work out like I want to but would be cool.
My dad has seen both of my projects tore down to nothing and to reassure him, I have some what of an idea on what to do on these trucks, thought it would a great idea to have him here. Will have to wait and see. I am getting excited as I can see the light at the end of the tunnel on at least getting them moving under their own power.
This will be the slower build as I can only fund one at a time. Bodywork is mostly elbow grease so it will start getting some attention when I run out of things to do on the 86. With the warmer weather, things should start to move on this project again, slowwwly but surely.
Hello Chef.. I have been putting sometime in on it. I use the pickup when waiting on things to do on the 86. My 86 list is getting a liitle shorter. I actually enjoy bodywork more then mechanic so I am looking forward to getting on the truck again.

Ok everyone this build has taken a slight turn. I am proud to say I'm the new owner of terrys 83. This truck got a lot of attention when terry started it and I hope to make him proud with my plans.
