Dirtdobber.. Glad to see you can see what is going on now. It has stopped, but will be getting started on it soon again.

You guys have snow already? Keep it over there. Dont want it here. You really arent that far from me as the crow flies, but with the twisty roads or going up to St. Louis and back down that is quite aways.

Outsane... I envy your weather. Yours is like summertime or fall here compared to what we can get.

Oktoberyzing..I tried to open the link and it keeps coming up unavailable.Thought the first few times it was the site. My Photobucket does it sometimes.

John4wd..If I was restoring anything else beside Toyota trucks I could find plenty of parts. It is unreal how they get stripped so fast. Even the salvages say they have a hard time getting them in. I could only imagine you have a more difficult time with rust. If I lived in the country I would have my own little salvage.

I got concrete down. FINALLY!! Wahoo. Been wanting a shop for some years now and thought I was going to get one last year, but things kept coming up. Hoping in 2 or 3 weeks they will get to my building.

Just going to be a floor, roof and walls for awhile, but it is a start. Getting the shop to the way I want will be several years in the making. Alot of tools, welder, and cutting torches I want to get. I would like one the size of 10 city blocks but this will work. It 23x25.

Here it is started. Will get pics of the concrete later. It is poured though.

Thanks dirtdobber.. Something I have been wanting a long time. Still have to wait for the building to be put up. Hoping within a month or so.

Hello swimmerboy. I have been going thru your thread trying to get caught up on it. Havent even made it to your other build. You keep things moving right along. Like what you have done to your first gen.

Thanks JustDSM..This will ba a whole new project in itself. The first pipe on the left is going to be a shower drain. Wifey gets a little irked when I come in covered in dirt and grime. The back one will be electric some day. Still want a refrigerator, stereo, tools, bench, shelves... the list goes on. I will have it the way I want by the time I hit 80.lol

Hello Outsane..We actually had a descent day today but that will be ending soon, been really lucky so far. I wont have any heat in it. Would be nice though. I will eventually add a wood stove. Have used shops with wood heat and wood heat stay so much warmer longer. When I was a kid, always had to cut wood. Didnt care for that one bit. Now I miss it.

The floor is done. Just waiting for it to set up. Thinking it is going to be a month til I get the shop built. Maybe less. Just waiting on the contractors.

Had to haul alot of gravel from the creek to get it level. Had to use my brothers truck and shovels to get the gravel. Still finding muscles I didnt know existed. They are screaming at me. A lot easier when I was younger. But getting what I have been wanting for sometime helps me forget about the workout I did.

Wife has already told me that I will not be spending all of my time out there. lol...I have plans of making it really usable an comfy out there. Just going to take time.

When I get it done. I plan on geting my 79/83 in there and that should speed some things up on getting it finished. This shop has slowed down the funds for it, but plan on getting after it again soon.

Future plans are to get the truck finished and then I will sell the flatbed. Really like it, and wont like the idea of not having a flatbed. But the 79/83 will be a little more rare for this part of the country.

I also have plans of putting my 86 Runner in the shop beside the 79/83. I used it for parts to fix my 88, but have all of the parts need to get it going. Looking forward to getting a pic of them beside each other in the SHOP!! The 86 wont take near as long for me to restore it. But I wont put any money into it until the truck is done. Really all it needs is paint and interior work. Selling the flatbed will fund its restore.

Until I can depend on the truck to be a good daily driver I cant sell the flatbed just yet or I would use it to fund the truck. When I sold the extended cab, it was to fund this one, but we know how that goes. It went to take care of other things, which in someways helped get the shop. So I will take the slow rebuild over no shop.

Floor is done. Wahoo...

Hello Tinman..Wish I would of bought some land back when it was reasonable. We are keeping an eye out for a few acres ourselves. Land prices have gone thriugh the roof.

Hello oktoberyzing..I got to find my password for facebook. Hadnt been on there in quite some time. Trying to keep up with all of the passwords nowadays is a job in itself.

Hello Jason..I am dis..appointed in my progress with my build. Been so much going on lately, but I will get it. It looks aways off to being finished, but I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel. I know when I do get things going again, it will move fairly fast.

Hello Chef..I have been wanting one for a long time. I have alot of plans for it. I cant wait to get things organized to how I want it. Then all of the tools I want. This will be a 10 year project.lol

Thanks Slacker...I am ready for it. It will be my home away from home. Wife already warned me I wont spend all of my time out there.lol

Hello ocdropzone..I did have some rebar I had and got it in but not as much as I would of liked. I have been told that mesh is the way to go with. My brother worked in the construction field and said breaking up old concrete with mesh was a tough job to do. I would of liked to have put some drains and things in before getting it poured just wasnt in the budget. It should last til I get old and senile.lol..Opps, I am already there.

Hello dirtdobber..Putting the plastic under the cement really slowed down the curing of the cement. My brohter said without plastic, it would of set in a matter of hours. I dont have a clue on construction, but it took a while for it to set up. I will do a write up for others that may build one someday. Just some things some might not know about. It was a learning thing for me.

Thanks shakes 24..I have some floor work to do myself. I am actually looking forward to it. Not really bad, but enough for me to get my feet wet into a new area of doing bodywork.
