85 Toyota 4x4 with 2005 Drivetrain

This was my project truck for last winter. The truck is 75% ready and requires an estimated 240 hrs to complete. I believe I have all the pieces to complete the project just needs some more good ol' fashion sweat and busted knuckles(more fabrication required). This truck has lots of potential to be a lightweight, powerful, reliable and efficient vehicle(not to mention that the longtravel kits for the newer yotas are looking pretty cool) Here are the specs. Click on the link at the bottom of the page to see pics of the project.

1985 Cab(white) 1985 Long Bed(white)
Custom 2005 Tacoma 4x4 doublecab Frame
2005 4.0L 245hp Tacoma engine(Only 125 miles!)
2005 TRD package(stainless steel exhaust, bilstein shocks, electric rear locker...)
2005 6sp Trans (1st gear is low)(125 Miles)
2005 Transfercase(electric shift)(125 Miles)
2005 Front and Rear axles and suspension(125 Miles)
2005 bucket seats
2005 Computer, wiring harness, airbags, stereo,....
New OEM AC condenser
New OEM Radiator
New Flex-a-lite dual electric fan kit
New K&N Intake

Price was $5,850.00; now taking best offers. I've reached my breaking point. Time to get this toyota movin out of my garage.

Availabe for local pickup. Will also consider delivering up to 5 hrs from Knoxville TN(.55/mile plus trailer rental fee)

Check out the pics of the project at http://www.walterpics.freeservers.com
Also, check out the sixth thread below; there, I have attached a .pdf that has a description of what I've done and what needs to be done to finish.

The items below are for pickup only.

I've also got 85 parts that need to go: complete axles, motor, 5sp, transfer, driveshafts, new gas tank/sending unit/float..... make an offer.

I've also got a 2001 XR400 Dirt Bike that needs to go... make an offer.

I've got a 98 Hudson Six Ton Trailer, gates set up for bobcat, pintle mount...make offer

I've got a 2004 Dodge 2500 4x4 HO Cummins Diesel single cab, at, that I'm going to sell 46,000miles....make an offer

The 85 parts are off of a Driveable long toyota truck with 168,000 miles that is bone stock other than a set of 31x10.50s wrapped around some alum 15x10s. I bought it as a project truck last year and I don't know much of it's history other than it spent most of it's years in Georgia. I bought the gas tank last year and its got a new sending unit, and float sensor in it. The axles are complete(housing,shafts,brakes,3rd,hubs...); as far as I know they have never been taken apart. The front drive looks to be in decent shape; since its a longbed, the rear shaft has that rubber ring that mounts to the frame and it will have to be replaced because of wear. No problems with the 5sp or the t-case; everything shifts good and the 4wd high and low work. Engine runs, doesn't smoke, leaks alittle oil, no timing chain rattle.

All these 85 parts were replaced with 2005 tacoma parts on my project truck and I have no use for them at the moment, although if I had the time I would make some kind of light weight buggie with the old parts. Also my parents hinted that it would be nice if I would clear my things out of the garage; so this stuff has got to go.

$700.00 for everything.(tires 65% tread, alum wheels, engine, trans, t-case, driveshafts, fr + rr axles, power steering, heater core, ac condensor, compresor, brake mastercylinder, new clutch mastercylinder,......)

I have a detailed pdf file that goes through everything that I've done including some prices and parts that I've purchased; I also add in comments on what needs to be done to get it complete. Click on the pdf link to view.... let me know what you think.
Thanks,
David

I am the proud new owner of all of thes items except for the dirt bike! I drove over 300 miles one way to get them. Well worth the trip and everything was exactly as described. I would highly recommend David as a seller and would be sure that he is a straight up guy. Thanks again Dave
