Summit or Pro Comp

I am looking at the 2 wheels above and both seem to be about the same thing. Both are also about the same price. But the procomps say 6-8 week eta. I don't want to wait that long but would be willing to if they were that much better. Do ya'll have any recommendations? Anybody not happy with either?

Thanks. I've never ordered from summit or 4 wheel parts but if you have any recommendation on either or any other I'd love to hear. Thanks.

I'd just go with the cheapest rim between the three. They're probably all the same rim anyway. For some reason, the Summit rims have a 2100 lb load rating, while the Rough Country has a 1500 lb load rating. The Rough Country rims weigh 28 lbs, while the Summit site doesn't even give a rim weight. If the load rating is 600 lbs more, I'd assume the rim itself weighs more than 28 lbs. However, that's just an assumption and something to consider. Steel rims are heavy and you want to try and get the lightest possible.

Hi
noticed that the rough country rim is an 1" narrower. hat tyres are you thinking of fitting. tyres will guide rim width.

In the links he posted, the Pro-Comps are 15x7" and the Rough Country and Summit rims are 15x8".

Oops. Didn't realize one was a 15x7. Not sure I'd mind that though. Probably going with 31x10.5 or 30x9.5. Trying to find pictures of 31x10.5 on a 7" wheel to see if its noticeable. Not much of an offroader so I usually get a/t. Might even go with h/t just to get some more mileage and comfort.

See post #4 of this thread: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/3...-wheel-247501/

It may not be much help because the factory SR-5 aluminum rims had a 4.75" backspacing, IIRC. But the tires are 31x10.5 and the rims are 15x7.

I've had good experience with ordering those wheels from Summit. I've done custom backspacing on them as well with a quick turn around.
