What are the little red flags for? Do they really make a black 4runner that much more visible in the woods?

/hijack off/

Wish the terragrapplers came in 33x10.50x15...

The flags are required in some off road parks.

Just get some 16" wheels, 285/75-16 = 33x10.50

Bumpin this old thread back up to the top.

I've seen alot of good reviews about the Nitto Terra's, but most from folks that just picked them up. So now that you've been running these tires for a year or several years, are you still happy with them. How's the thread life holding up? Still good off-road performance?

Like many, I had made my decision to go with BFG TA/KO's for my Tacoma, but all these good reviews on the Nitto's have me rethinking things.

I've got about 15k on mine and still love the on road performance like they were new. They really deal with slush and ice better than I thought they would. Turn-in grip on ice and hydroplaning reisstance is what makes these a solid tire for day to day driving and they've handled alot of rock rubbing off road quite nicely too and no chunking period.
