That really is lame. As the UPS depot is huge and that saves them money.

Thats weird, it's probably not sorted yet, just checked in... The main UPS near me allowed me to pick up a package that I was not home the same night. It could simply be that it is not open on Saturday. I know UPS in my area does not deliver Saturdays.

Given that you are running 285/75-16 Nitto's and I'll be running the same size in BFG's I might have a little bit more rubbing than you until I get my body lift on right?

Are you experiencing any rubbing at all?

Thanks,

Fink

Im really interested to hear how these tires work out. The price seems great for these tires and the reviews seem really good so far. Pics would help too

I havent wheeled at all so I am not getting any rubbing. However, when i reverse i do rub a little on a plastic thingy for my TJM. tahts bc the weight transfer to the front..no biggy.

I will try to get pics asap...so far i love them!

I'm guessing with the stock bumper I will rub quite a bit...I may keep the Cornfeds and get the body lift put on before I do the suspension...the CV's are leaking slow enough I feel comfortable doing it that way.

Are you plannin on getting a body lift later on?

Thanks, the extended studs and bracket didn't come today but I'll be looking for them tomorrow. Unless DHL would deliver to my mailbox, I haven't checked my mail today.

Thanks Matt,

Fink

Dont lift it any higher, just trim out your fender liners. The easiest way to gain tire clearance is to trim up the plastic and pound the pinch weld, not lift it higher!

ok...no pics yet but a review

Nitto Terra Grappler A/Ts

I got these tires from www.discounttire.com for 129 each shipped. I was a little worried when I first got them because not many people ran them and there werent any great reviews out there.

After having these on for about 500 miles, I have nothing but good things to say about them. First things first:

RAIN: The rain traction is unbelievable! The sipes help a lot and its hard for me to break traction off the line. It may be because of my loss of low end, but neverless, these are GREAT in the rain. They provide GRIP GRIP AND MOOOORE GRIP. (5th Gear episode)

DRY: These have a SLIGHT hum to them while driving. Nothing the radio cant drown out or a cracked window. I dont care about the noise, as I am coming from an MT. The tires handle great

SNOW: Is has not snowed since i have had these tires. Hopefully I will be able to test them out in the snow and write something more helpful here. But with the whether being in the 50s and 60s, chances dont look too great.

ICE: See above.

Summary:

These tires are a must have for the weekend warrior. I have had the REVOS, BFG ATs, the LTXs and the MTs. I like these tires more then off of them. I would however, love to have a set of MTRs for wheeling.

I hope to get these out on the trails asap.

Sorry for the elementry review.

I've got about 100 miles on my Nittos now and the highway hum isn't that noticeable anymore and I've had them in about a foot of snow last weekend and they did great and I am really happy with their slick surface grip which was better than what I expected.

My Nitto TerraGrappler review

Yesterday I picked up a set of Nitto Terragrapplers sized 265/75/7 in P-Metric. Had them mounted on some new 17' Tundra rims. Took them to Paragon Off-Road Park today in my stock '03 4Runner and I must say, they did the job. I was in a group with several Xterras, including some that were running SuperSwampers and other M/Ts, and not only did my rig keep up on some pretty nasty blue trails, but I had less slipage on the rocks, snow and ice than they did.

The drive there was 180 miles roundtrip and they were quiet and grippy on the road. Great purchase.

Oh yeah, price out the door, including tax, mounting and balancing was $539.

Here are some photos:

Oops it's only been a month! The trucks following me in the pix both have Nitto 315s, a much better size for Land Cruisers. The last pic was taken after climbing a V notch on Three Feathers, Chiva Falls trail last week.
