New Kumho Venture MTs for the '01

***Edit - Finally mounted***

Well, the UPS man brought my new shoes for the '01 Runner today. They look great, and I can't wait to get them mounted. I decided to go with the Kumho Road Venture MT's in 265/75/16, and got them for $108 a piece from Tirerack.com. I still had the original Goodyear RT/S on with over 72,000 miles on them. By the looks of it, I think I still had 3/32 or so left on them, but they needed to go.

Stack of goodies:

Now I need some LIFT!!! Sorry for the filthy truck and tires, but it's been raining nonstop here for a few days, and it looks as though it's going to continue for a few more.

Thanks to everyone on the Yotatech forums for the advice about fitment and Brand choices. What do ya know, the search button does work! I'll get some pics up when I finally get them mounted.

I also got about 70,000 out of my original Goodyears. Not a bad tire of street use.

Now lets see some pics when you get those mounted.

Hey let us know how they ride when you get them mounted. I'm deciding between AT's and MT's I just don't want to compromise the highway driving on my daily driver.

my gas mileage barely decreased when I had my BFG MTs. I would say a total of 5 miles per tank. Nothing significant

That's good to know, localmotion. What size were you running?

Not sure what size Matt (local) had prior to his BFG MT's which I bought from him and have now sold but I when from the stock 265/70R16 to the 265/75R16 MT's I had no noticable power or gas milage loss. Now my 285's are another story but still nothing too bad either. No worries about the milage.

Man, those look great. You have to post back on performance (noisy, quiet, balanced, not balanced, etc.)

They have been getting rave reviews on tire rack too. I am still considering them, for the price, they look nasty, and most people on tire rack seem to get between 30-50k out of them, which is not at all bad. Keep us posted for sure.

They look really good on your truck, world of difference! Any off-road experience with them? How do they hold up to rocks and such? How are they on the street? How's the driving noise?
