New Kumho Venture MTs for the '01
#41
I lost nearly 20mi to a tank after switching to Revo A/Ts. I'm down from about ~290-300mi tanks to ~270mi tanks.
Yeah, I miss it, but have been very impressed with the new wheels none-the-less.

I'll be purchasing these tires in the next few weeks, as I'm down to the wear bars on the stock AT tires that came on the truck. I can't wait to get them out in the dirt.
PS - I've never owned anything but a Ford or AMC before this toyota, and my garage still has 2 Fords in it.

I had mine done at Discount Tire. Price is about $10-14 a tire. You can find more out about tire siping as well as locate a shop that will do it at this site:

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm an American above all other things. If you are insinuating that everyone on this board buys foreign products over American, then I guess I've got some enlightening coming to me. However, right now, I'm assuming that most people here are Americans and would prefer to support the country, given the chance and opportunity. If, after I point out the options and provide the necessary information, and they still choose the Kum-ho's over say, a Wild Country or a Cooper, then you won't hear any bitching from me.
As a side note, I've only posted here a couple times, and I've been called on it both times (well, a bit of an exaggeration, i've probably posted 5-6 times). Either I've pissed y'all off somehow, or... or... I don't know what.
I find it really surprising that some people are calling me out on my pointing out that there are American alternatives to KUm-ho's. Go figure. Where are the patriots when you need them?

Opinions are welcome here. And I don't think anyone is saying that we shouldn't be supporting the good o'l USA.
However, everyone has a choice. It is, afterall, your money and you have the opportunity to spend it on anything you want. I do think that people need to make an educated decision, rather than blindly buy USA.
In general, I think most consumers look for VALUE, a balance between purchase price and performance, wear, etc. I look forward to your VALUE comparison, as it would certainly set the record straight.
Keep postin'. Everyone is welcome here.
