Anyone have any experience with MAxxis Bravo ATs or Buckshot MTs??

Need a new set of tires for the 4runner, the BFG ATs are pretty bald, and I don't drive the truck but once or twice a month. I just want something cheap. I narrowed my serach down to Maxxis Buckshot MTs or Bravo ATs. Both can be had for between $400-$450 for a set of 4. I really want to throw MTs on, but I am worried they will wear too quick. And the Maxxis Bravo Ats don't look very agressive(looks more like a road tire). I just figured these tires were cheap because they were so new, Maxxis is porbably trying to get their truck tire business started. But I just wanted to check to make sure they werent garbage tires. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Couldnt find too many Maxxis reveiews, and the few here werent on either of these 2 models. Thanks,

Here are pictures of the 2 that I was looking at.

Anyone think it would be unreasonable to get at least 30k miles out of buckshots?

I am running the Maxxis Bighorns and so far they are awesome. They wheel great and are actually pretty quiet on the road too.

Nice, for the price they seem awesome, how is the treadwear so far. probably 80% of the time they will be street driven, which I was I was thinking the AT over the buckshot. But if the treadwear isnt going to be a big factor(if I could get 30k out of them) I would rather have the buck shots. Thanks for the info.

I rode a set of Buckshot mudders for a few years. The tread wear was fine for a mudder. I kept them for about 20k, and they were still around 50%. They are soft, so should be rotated often. I personally do not like the loud hum of certain mudders on pavement, and the Buckshots were a little to loud for me. They did handle well on and offroad. I would recommend them if you do not mind the noise.

My brother's jeep had them. The price suckered him into buying them and he hated them after the first 10k miles. They wore quickly and in wet weather they went south fast. Noise, they were like a small airplane following you down the road and he rotated them at every oil change. He did drive mostly on the road, but offroad they beat my BFG AT KOs every time, but I would expect that.
Replaced with:
He went with BFG MT and I went to with TuXus MT. The BFGs lasted longer but are more $$ the TruXus are soft but street friendly and very good traction offroad. As you know any MT must be rotated regularly.

I would save and get the good tires that will make driving and offroading a pleasure and safer.
