33's stock 91 ok?

ok so i know there are millions of post about tires and sizes and gearing, but i was specifically wondering how my 91 4runner would drive with the stock 4.10 gears with 33x12.5x15 tires. This is my DD so how will this effect speed, fuel economy, over all drive ability

Also i have a 1" body lift will these tires fit with little to no rubbing.

Thanks

Got another question post #14

It seems to be different for everybody. But most can make them fit. You will probably just need a little hammering then you will be fine.

no the tires will rub, buy a toytec type lift and then they wont. from what i have heard you will notice a big change in you acceleration, you WILL get worse gas milage and you may need to get alignment if you lift the truck. but they will definately rub.. you could go with 33x10.50s which wont rub, but you can only get those in bfgs and superswampers

May fit given the right wheels and either torsion bar crank or ball joint spacers up front:

As far as mileage, the 22RE does better with higher RPMs, I found on my '85 that I got better MPG with a 33/5.29 combo than I do now w/ 33/4.88, so you need to be cruising at 3000+ RPM to get the best MPG.

or better still run a set of 33X9.5 BFGs - ran those on my tacoma and loved them. Those will be the easiest to fit with very little modification.

My dads 92 truck has 31s on some generic chromies, no rubbing at all.
The wheels are a bit further out than stock.
After running 33x10.5 15 bfg muds, I wouldn't do it again.

I was going to get the 33x12.50's from a guy on craigslist (http://tucson.craigslist.org/pts/1487481951.html) and trade him my Bfg 30x9.50s. I will be getting 1.5 bj spacers but that is gona be a christmas present so i would have to wait on that. And the wheels i would be using would be just the stock toyota wheels

I'm running 33x12.5R15 on my stopck 90 Runner. For daily driving it'll not rub (except when turning sharp - on the frame) If you plan on wheeling it, it will rub (front and rear). BJ Spacers and leveling the rear will fix this. You may find that most tire shops will not install 12.5" tires on rims less than 8" wide.

As far as milage with 4.10's is gonna suck - plain and simple.... Gears should be in your very near future.... I wish I could afford some now! Oh well soon enough...

Here is a picture of mine...

Thanks. The chrome is almost completley gone. I'm currently working on an winch bumper and a rear tube/plate combo...

Good luck on the tire hunt!

it sucks. not bad around town, managable on the highway but hills are damn near impossible. I was heading up some mountains today in 3rd doing 35 w the peddle on the floor, no rpms and losing speed.

yeah... 4.10 and 33's sucks.... alot.
After wheeling the 33x10.5's a bunch, I'm so tired of losing beads, I can't even begin to say how tired I am of that.
Never again.
