Photographers of Yotatech

A thread to post your pictures.

Here are a few of mine

A few were on my old Konica-Minolta X8 but most were the new Olympus S-570UZ

Natural Lighting on that set, I took the shot at 8:30pm
Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi
Exposure: 0.006 sec (1/160)
Aperture: f/1.8
Focal Length: 50 mm
Exposure: -0.48
ISO Speed: 400
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off, Did not fire

the Canon's Nifty Fifty is a great lens for a non L series

Here's the one I took w/ my external flash (and the lilies are real) :

That lens is next on my list.. I got sidetracked with a deal on a Winchester .223 super short magnum..

but soon!

The next I need to really work on is playing with the settings but the D-40 really does take great pics on the camera's preset settings.

Just making sure you realise the 50mm 1.8 af-d nikkor doesn't autofocus on D40's.. You'll be looking at the AF-S version to retain AF and it's like 250, not 110..

Hey, I'm Nick. I'm new here Photography and offroading are probably my 2 favorite hobbies. I don't have any pictures OF offroading (I rarely bring along the D90, because I about broke my D40x during an offroading expedition last year. . .), but here are a few random pics that I've taken. The first two were taken just a week or two ago, the third was taken over a year ago I think (its hard to remember when I took which picture, I'm in college and only get to take photos during random bouts of free time). . .Kind of a very brief overview of my photography, I'll have to renew my flickr so I have enough bandwidth to post more of the high speed stuff!

Anyhow, nice to meet you all, enjoy the pics:

2 from StL Botanical Gardens a few weeks ago:

3-photo set from a high-speed photography project (taking photos of .22LR bullets blowing up glass things used a sound-trigger circuit I made, got some neat results overall)

I've got some decent pics from the 8/29 Cards vs. Nationals game, if we have any Cards fans in here too
