ok so i finally got around to painting my crossmember, had to use a wire wheel on the thing it was getting pretty rusty., i also trimmed it up a little.i used some rustoleum rusty metal primer and satin.
i may trim 2 to 3 inches off the back end of the crossmember also. not sure yet.

That's lame about your radiator. You just got a bad one but it will probably hold up just fine. That's definitely a nice flat skidplate. I've been drooling over some skidplate concepts I want to make.

No problem Paul .. Good luck .

So I actually installed my rebuilt pump along with a 3rd 10" fan at the radiator .. hopefully that will keep the radiator from getting any worse.

The Lexus alternator is more than 100 amps. I think its more like a 140 amp. The relay to power it is a 160 amp relay.

Both of you are correct, in a sense

The information in the links above appear to be referencing the 1UZ alternator found in the earlier LS400s, which contain a 100amp alternator, protected by a 120amp fusible link. The SC400's contain a 130amp alternator, protected by a 150amp fuse. Later LS400's may contain a 130amp alternator, and a few newer Toyota models (Highlander, Sienna, etc) contain 100 or 130amp alternators, depending on options (V6, rear A/C, etc..).
