HAHAHA!!! Man I want to start it but hold on there..

Hopefully this weekend I can finish with the passanger side and then I think I should be able to start this thing, at least for a second.

I have not put the ls fuel pump in but I think that can wait a bit.
I recieved my transmission cooler and the fan controller today from summit so I also need to install those.

well , man I hate doing exhaust stuff. I removed the bell housing from the tranny and bolted it up to the engine , then tried to put the cat on but no go.I ended up taking the exhaust manifold off and cuttining the flange off so I can put the LS flange on to use the cats off the LS.
I wish I could move the cat further back , but I have read people doing this have problems , not with the 1uz but other engines. So I will leave it close to the manifolds even though its not the perfect place to put it.
I dont know much about exhausts but the sharp turn I will end up having to put on after the cat doesnt look Good .

If anyone knows for a fact if its ok for me to move the cat about 8" back from the original position please let me know , I really would like to do this but dont want problems passing california smog .

This will leave the first oxygen sensor in the original place but move the cat and the second sensor back 8".

This project was fun up until having to deal with the exhaust part.

Don't know what to tell you. I'm not using the cats at all and using O2 simulators to keep the check engine light off. My state only smog tests vehicles 1996 and newer. I would say that moving them back shouldn't be a problem since I don't think 2uz-fe engines have them right off the manifolds. just make sure your 2nd set of sensors is the same distance down the pipe from the cat.

Man you lucky you dont live in califonia . I think I am going to move the cats back just a bit maybe 3 inches or so just to get them at a better angle than just pointing staight down.

so now i need to extend the speed sensor wire, install the transmission cooler and finish installing the fans on the radiator and the controler for the fans .

I guess monday I will drop off the drive shaftes and have the front extended and the back shortened .

I dont know yet what I will do for a cross member I would just like to buy one and make it easy but I think If I do buy one I will just have to customize it , so I will go see about getting some 3/8 or 1/2 plate and do some work on it.

Since you clocked your transfer case I would get the Front Range Off Road one. It would probably be easiest since all you would have to do is make the mounts on the frame.

Thanks for that, but if you look at the second pic above you can see the torsion bar supports are in the way they line up right where the cross member would go .

I need to make something that will support from underneath using a reagular mount from the transfer case or one of those heavy duty ones.

What about a slightly customized Budbuilt? Well some kind of angled "Shim" under the stock style t/case mount?

yea maybe a budbuilt , but I dont have measuments on that one and none of my friends have one so I can look at it.I would hate to buy one then not use it.
An angled shim sounds like what I may do with just a 3/8 or 1/2 inch plate running across.

What do you want to know about the Budbuilt? That's what I'm using but I didn't clock my t-cases(still might though). The Budbuilt will interfere with your torsion bar mounts on the frame too because they hang down lower than the frame rails right where the Budbuilt needs to go. I know this because I had to cut one of mine off still. I am however using a Dual t-case crossmember so a single one may be different.

Toyminator thanks for the offer but I was looking at the budbuilts here on yotatech and i dont think they will work.

I am looking for a place that can bend some 1/2 plate so I can just make something to work.
I did get the fans installed ,transmission cooler and lines ran, and I shortened the shift linkage from the A340h 2 1/2 inches and installed it.
I also hooked up the kick down cable and throttle cable.
I am so close I need to do something with the damn exhaust , may just buy some new cats , these lexus ones are to damn wide .
