1988 4runner 1uz swap

so i wasnt really planning this right now but came across this nice runner for cheap ,blown head gasket so here i go again .. its just like mine on the inside but a little better shape , the outside is in good shape also.
original owner sold it to this guy , this guy cant fix the blown head gasket after all ,its a v6 auto
will use
sc 400 cluster (came out great first time around )
t-100 housing and transfer case
4 row copper brass radiator (5 row cools to much to fast and no more Aluminum for me )

ill try and focus on the wiring for this one , since no need for the rest i guess.

just got home about an hour ago from 3 hour drive round trip .shes staying on the trailer until tomorrow no plates, non oped .
now i need to start looking for the parts

Wow man you're like a machine churning out these swaps.

Good idea focusing on the wiring. That's what scares everyone away.

I'd like to see a little more detail on how you fit the SC400 cluster into the 4runner housing like you did on that red truck.

just start looking for the parts man .. once you get everything let me know .what really takes the longest is gathering up all you need .

keep a look out on craigs , the $500 cars pop up at least once a month.
Last week there was an sc 400 wrecked at the back going for $500 out in berkeley, i should have just picked it up .

Theres plenty of those engines around here and their cheap, 3 to 4 times cheaper than a 3.4 engine. complete engine with all accessories at pick n pull are less than $300 ..

and luckly i am not paying or payed for the other 2 swaps , actually i got paid to do them so its like on the job training type deal

This grey 4runner was just sold this morning .. along with the swap ..so im getting paid to do this one now .

I agree....well you are close to both the ocean and the mountains too.

I've bought 4 donor cars all for $700 or less and actually made money parting them out and keeping what I need for the swap.
