Trans removal
#2
I never took mine out. When I installed the 3.4 engine, I greased the bottom of engine mount. Between the jack under the transmission and engine hoise, I was able to use the long bolt to lined up and matched up the engine and trans. Then when everything rest on the engine mounts, I just cranked the long bolts on both side a little at a time to get the engine to mate to the trans.

I pulled the 3.0 out of my '91 last month. Left the tranny in, but it's a manual. I hear it's easier to do an auto if you drop the drivetrain first since you have to unbolt the flex plate.
The manual tranny just slides right off of the motor
Didn't have to cut anything, just disconnected eveything and removed the radiator. I didn't have a fan though, lol

I removed the fan, clutch, fan shroud and radiator first. don't forget to cover the ac condenser with plywood. It ain't cheap if you have to replace that too. I even left the AC compressor in there. I didn't want to loose the gas.
