I'm getting into my swap now and searched a bit so if I overlooked it please point me in the right direction. I know some people reuse their 3.0 lines during the swap while others order the Trail Gear tacoma kit. My question is... what does everyone do with the sensor on the factory high pressure line? Or is this not a sensor but the idle up? This would make sense considering everyone talks about losing idle up after the swap. With this throw a code in the computer if disconnected? Here's a pic for the sensor in question... Any help would be appreciated!

 

My 97 donor motor does not have the sensor, rather it has an "idle air control valve" ( https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/b...-valve-246778/ ) installed in the high pressure 3.4 line (the 3.0 had it installed in the base of the pump), but what I did would still work for you.

I took both the 3.0 and 3.4 high pressure hoses to a local hose shop and had them cut the pump side connector off the 3.4 hose and the ABS actuator end off the 3.0 hose (yes, I kept the factory ABS), then they brazed those ends to new barbed fittings and then made a new hose for me for $60 (it took a couple of trips back and forth with some minor crimps to get the alignment of the 2 hose ends lined up correctly with the hose).


The top hose is the new custom hose, the middle hose is the 3.0 hose, and the bottom one is the 3.4 hose that I cut off with a couple of inches of hard line still attached.

Doing this allowed me to retain that fitting for the idle up valve, or in your case the sensor.
