**MAF wiring issue

This is after the motor was ran.

This was after the codes were cleared and without starting the engine. I think this is pointing to a wiring issue for the MAF.

This is the 97 wiring harness plugged into a 99 Tacoma MAF. I used a 99 Tacoma M/T ECU. TOS re-pinned the harness for me. Not sure if this wasn't overlooked? It was discussed in the emails between us. I sent them this same information today. I'm sure I will hear back from them and they will tell me what to do. I just wanted to make sure I gather all the info I can so that tomorrow I can fix this.

Any advice would be great!

Really just buy a cheap code reader on Amazon for like $10. Kinda useless to speculate when those codes will probably tell you exactly what's going on. (sounds like maf not wired correctly tho, or wrong Maf for application)

I will do that. Do you have one you recommend? I figured they were crap and haven't needed one in the past.

I will look into the MAF wiring too.

Honestly, get the torque app for $4.99. Then you need a dongle to plug into your obd2 port. iphone need a wifi dongle, android needs bluetooth.

Get https://www.amazon.com/Goliath-Indus...ords=wifi+obd2 if you have an iphone.

Get https://www.amazon.com/Panlong-Bluet...bluetooth+obd2 if you have an android.

There is SO much data beyond pulling and clearing codes. Once you learn how to use it all, it's invaluable.

If you simply want to pull a code and clear codes, just get this https://www.amazon.com/Autel-MaxiSca...ds=odb2+reader I've used this one also and it works fine.

vasinvictor, your advice for the code reader is spot on. Super cool to have! Also it is pointing to the MAF (wiring) as the issue! Thanks a bunch!

Not cool man. You really shouldn't have edited the first post.... Your problem description would be more helpful to future searchers, rather than appearing that you self diagnosed the problem and just wanted confirmation... Just post your screenshots in a reply next time.

Sorry. I can either delete this or try to remember what all was said. I'm NOT trying to take credit for diagnosing the problem. I thought I made it clear that YOU were right. Plus I tried to edit the name of the thread when I made those other changes, as this really has nothing to do with the AIC.

Eh, it's cool I shouldn't get worked up about it but it would be more useful for future searchers that have similar problems as you. You're right it really has nothing to do with IAC but it was a jumping off point. 😎
