Conversion Wiring
#81
That is the internet connection. No it is the starter wire. The 3.0 starter wire is in the engine harness, but not in the 3.4 harness. I add it it to make install easier.

Yes. It's the one wire that got missed during my conversion. My brother's neighbour did the wiring for me and he just sorta taped it off in the harness on the chassis side of the harness. When I went to start the truck for the first time, nothing...I got power to all the gauges and you could hear the fuel pump...so, after a few hours of troubleshooting, I looked at the top of the starter and found there was no wire to the solenoid. I dug back into the harness, found the wire, spliced a plug onto it and bada bing...fired right up.

seems like the 3.4 swap threads have all kinds of photos of the engine, but did anyone take detalied photos of their wiring harness connectors at all the vital points?
#85
Actually, it isnt just plug and play, you have to use the oil pressure sensor from the 3.0, if it has an SR5 dash. (3.4's use a dummy light sensor).

Hey Tim, out of pure curiosity, how much for a complete and total harness for a 98 3.4 to 91 SR5 auto, retaining AC, cruise and 4x4?
Would ya send me a pm? Thanks.

Save it all to your computer and then you can access it whenever you want and not have to pay to access the site again.

Hey Tim, I just started my coversion today. I have a 1990 2dr 4runner 3.0 5speed. I'm putting in a 1999 3.4 5peed. Do you still sell harness's? If so is it a plug and play? I live in California, so it needs to pass smog. Thanks Mark

i would pay a couple hundred dollars for one for a 1992 4.3 tbi to 1990 yota v6 5-speed manual tranny, please let me know if you would be willing to do this and i will give more info. thanks
