Unhappy VIBRATION!! please help

I have a 93 4runner, and every since the day i got it, it has had a virbration, its a fast vibration with a low humming sound....usually it occurs when im accelorating, and get up to about 25, it stays like that up to about 40, then the vibration starts to fade at higher speeds, also if i go from accelorating, then letting off the gas, it will not vibrate for about a second, then it will start to vibrate again when its decelorating...when im at a constant speed anywhere after about 40 or more, it doesnt vibrate all that bad. i keep hearing multiples things that it could be, and dont want to go and try to fix them, i just want to get rid of this vibration its so irritating! thank

its been since late summer, but, the thing is, the problem has been there since i bought it in nov 02, and its not like an unbalanced tire problem, it feels completely different, when my tires were unbalanced, the wobbled at speeds over 70, i got them balanced and that stopped, the vibration has always been there.

I had the same problem with my 95--it was the idler arm! To check it grab the passenger tire and move it back and forth look at this part of movement

If it has any movement follow these directions to fix

fix

It cost me $13.00 and took about an hour--no more vibration!

that would be great if that was the problem and if it is i really appriciate it, but the one reason i kind of dont htink it is that, is because of the time when it doesnt really vibrate much at all....anytime before 25, and after about 40 or 45, and if im going a constant speed above 40 it doesnt really either...it mainly picks up when im decelorating....when i accelorate, then have to let off the gas, there will be a split second, where it stops vibrating, then starts right back up when decelorating.

Mine was the same--I felt most vibrating when accelerating between 40-55mph, on the fwy at constant speed I felt almost none, and at low speed I felt none. I am pretty sure you have the same problem.

but then again, my car does it mainly at low speeds, 25 to 35, wears off around 40 to 45ish UNLESS im decelorating, which it usually does it, but once again, mainly around 25 to 35

Check to see if you have a dent or a missing weight on your driveshaft.

I second that and also check your universal's for need of lubrication or replacement

I third that , a vibration in accel/deccel...most people look indeed at the U-joint, or a misaligned driveshaft.

Well, she PM'd me and said she didn't see any dents...So I guess the next thing to look at is the U-joints.
