Factory oil in a 03' 4runner?

Factory oil in a 03' 4runner?
Do they ship with Dino or Syn? I'm switching to Syn at 5000 miles.

Dino.
I like to do one or two short-mileage oil changes with dino oil on a new engine to remove any manufacturing debris and break in particles. Then I'd consider installing synthetic oil. Might as well use cheap dino oil for these short-mileage oil drains.

I spoke to the service manager today, and they come with dino. I asked if there was a problem with changing to Syn at 1000 miles(engine/rears), he said to go ahead.

I switched to Mobil 1 at 500 miles. My engine now has 27k miles and uses no oil during a 7,500 mile change interval.
