Given how tiny the UK is I was always amazed at how little of it the locals go see. I think I've seen more of the UK living there 2 years than a lot of British people have. Scotland I bet has some great wheeling.

I lived on London, Newquay, ˟˟˟˟land Islands (where the little ponies are from, language filter doesn't like S-h-e-t) and a village called Hook Norton near Banbury. Took a lot of trips in between.

In London I lived in Seven Sisters for a bit. Rough area and quite racist. I was racially abused by a Jamaican mother in front of her little boy. It was funny though. Little fella was kicking a ball down the street. She yelled at him to pick it up, he said aww don't be yellin at me in front of people its embarrassing. She screamed across the road where me and the missus where walking, "don't you be worrying about the WHITE MAN!"

Gold, but a bit sad too.

It was an awkward share house too. We lived with some racist South Africans and a nice black girl. They would try to convert us to their crazy ideas with the girl just upstairs..... Still surprises me that actual racist people are still out there.

Sounds like quite an adventure!!

Yea, despite how multicultural we are now, it's seems we still don't mix well..hopefully that will dilute as the younger generations grow up. The S'Sisters we're at is in south Wales & I screwed up the dates, it's next weekend this weekend is the 'king of the valleys' qualifier.

There's a massive site in Scotland called Drumclog, never been up but have every intention too i'll have to convert the truck to LPG (propane?) to afford the journey though..lol. Other than Drumclog, I think wheeling up there is pretty much illegal. A guy drove a vauxhall frontera up snowdon last yr (well almost, he broke down just before the summit), which is in a national park..didn't do our scene any favours..even less so when he did it again just to get to the top!! Thanks to that, if you're caught anywhere you shouldn't be, chances are you'll have your vehicle taken off you

Wow, too bad about that. It is a small island though.

I think the UK got multicultural almost too fast. No one has any time to learn what being British is all about especially if you don't mingle with British people. Plus it doesn't help when the majority of immigration seems to be from countries that historically hate your guts. Thankfully, the Indians like and respect the British or it might be a real ˟˟˟˟ show! Plus they make awesome food.

I tried to fit in while I was there as best I could. When in Rome right. I did get some people who thought I was American and where rude, when I said I'm Canadian I got an apology and an offer of a beer.

I really love the UK.

After the UK I went to Amsterdam for a year as a deal with the other half. If she came to Amsterdam for a year I'd go home to Australia with her.

So, there are no open trails anywhere for you to go? Maybe you should move to Canada or Oz. Canada is better than Oz though. Less hot, no killer spiders under your pillow but the girls aren't as slutty...

So really it's a win either way.

How much does a litre of petrol run you now?

Hey animal I thought British Rail had a train that went up to Scotland with your vehicle on board as well... that turkey who drove up snowdon probably got the idea from TopGear I recall they had an episode a few seasons back where Clarkson drove up one of the welsh mts. to show the capabilities of the then new Range Rover... it might even have been snowdon... and then I think last season the 3 of them fabbed up some wacky motorized wheel chairs and "raced" up a mtn. against a team of wounded Vets to raise awareness of the issues they face and to try to stir up development of better chairs and access laws...

Not sure about the train..if its still running, I'd dread to think of the cost..you must be looking at £100-150 to get a seat on the train, never mind space for the truck..maybe try another TG trick and run the truck on the tracks..lol

Few minor updates..

If you've not spotted it in the Fab' section, I made myself a rear bumper..

On the chassis side I'm gonna go with the trail gear idea of a replacement crossmember to mount the links..much better triangulation then.

Finally..we recently bought this..

So that's the dogs and general humping around of stuff sorted which along with the need to relocate the fuel tank gives me a great excuse to chop the back off

Cool updates. Always impressed by your fabbing, keep it up. What's the plan for the gas tank when you 4-link it?

Cheers buddy.!!

I'll probably do some caged flatbed thing and package a fuel cell on or in there somewheres. I'll most likely bring it in at the end of Sept.. Be great to have it done before the end of the year but that's ambitious I think.
