dosent look too bad if the welds penetrated. if those are cold turds you could pay with your life. it all looks fairly rusted though, i would go ape $h!t on it with a wire wheel or stiff brush and then evaluate the workmanship

If you aren't sure if it is safe, buy a new front spring hanger. $75

if by looking at it scares you I would say fix it! Cut that entire section out, front crossbar and all and get a new one put up in there. you can buy hangers or make your own. Try marlin, Sky manufacturing, Trailgear, Allpro and so many others

You can cut the hangers off the front and have a drop bracket that adds some lift like this!

but I recomend cutting the section right above it out and place the hanger basicaly in the stock location. No need to lift a lifted truck even higher! It also gets rid of the weaker crossbar and replaces it with the new beefy one. Best way to go IMO

HEY THAT LOOKS LIKE MY TRUCK!!! tires and everything!
29" tires are the best way to flex! except for those look like 19"s haha

mine\/\/\/

but it looks kinda safe.... you should box up that hanger to make it stronger. with some thicker steel.

i agree with the wabbit. when i saw the pic (before i saw wabbits post) i asked myself, 'what the *BOMB* is that? NO its not safe.' FIX that thing, trust me that thin rod CANT stand up to regular DD abuse for very long.
