quick sas ? on a 92 pu

Does anybody know what the two hoses are for that came from the engine compartment and into the ifs axle housing??? I removed them when I took the ifs off then followed them up into the engine compartment where they hooked onto two nipples on the top of the passenger side of the engine compartment. I removed the hoses from the two nipples but have no idea what they were for or if I need to cap the nipples. Some kind of front diff sensor maybe??

Anybody have any insight on this? I can post some pics if nobody knows what im referring to.

ADD is a way of locking and unlocking the front hubs rather than using manual locking hubs it is operated from inside the cab, it is operated on vacuum, so yes you need to cap off the nipples otherwise you will have a vacuum leak.
