high steer

does anyone here now if there is someone out there that offers a high steer kit for a 83 pickup i cant seem to find one. though there are plenty for doing a sas

They are the same kit. All hi-steer kits for '79-'85 front axles will work whether the axle is used for a SAS or came original.

cool thanxs alot friend thats the answer i was lookin for but wasnt goin to make the purchase before i talked to someone else. cause actually what i did was a sas on a 87 but used the steering box out of the 83 donar truck so i didnt have to spend all the money up front but now im sick of bending that one link and ready to spend the money.

possible problem

am i going to have a problem installing a high steer because i used the 83 steering box instead of the ifs box, cause i dont see how you would hook to the pitman arm on the 83 box if it was ment to hook to a ifs box please help!

Hi-Steer will not work with a solid axle box. You need an IFS box.

IFS box = Turn based

Solid Front = Side to side

Yup what he said. I hope you saved the gearbox when you did your SAS. If not, they can usually be picked up for $100-150 or so.
