89 xtracab sas

I had this sas done at a 4x4 shop, here in the philippines

its a 4link coil suspension, using 80 series lc springs, mounts, and rear control arms

drove it on the freeway, took it up to 70mph, its stable and ok, exited the freeway about 20mph, hit a small bump and the truck shook violently

dont want to bring it back to the shop, I'm thinking of just fixing it myself.

plan is, to upgrade to Hi steer, and check caster angle

what do you guys think? can anyone id this axle?

any help would be appreciated

thanks,
Jon

Front looks like it has a panhard bar 3 link not a 4 link.

High steer would help but not sure where it will fit with all those monkey bars. Full hydro might work better.

Your panhard and draglink should be at the same angle. The frame end of the panhard needs to come up or the axle end needs to come down. It would also be better if the panhard was longer.

Setting up a good 3 link is not for everyone.

The axle appears to be out of a 79-81 Toyota mini truck. If it was an FJ80 axle it would be ~6-8" wider than your rear end and the tie rod would be on the back of the axle under a high pinion diff.

decided to get rid of the monkey bars, and do it right. front is a tg 3inch kit, it is so much better. at times I get a clunk when one side of the suspension is compressed, any ideas?

....so you ditched your 3 link for leaf springs.....?

Should have just fixed the 3 link.

its a 4 link that was not done properly, I was experiencing scary violent death wobbles
