Where close to Denver?

I'm looking at doing a difficult trail tommorrow, friday, somewhere within 2 hours of Denver. Does anyone know of a trail that wont be covered in snow yet? I'm thinking of spring creek or chinamans gulch. Thanks!

I don't live there any more but we use to go up tp Saint Marys glacier area and to spring creek. I know there is a trail from Kingston peak to Central city we use to go on alot. Hows the weather up there so far?

I wouldn't do Chinamen's alone and I would not do Spring Creek alone without a winch. Not sure if that is your intention, but I just thought I would throw it out there.

Not to mention, Chinamen's is more than 2 hours from Denver.

Super Dave - The weather has been great lately, 60/40s but its supposed to snow in the mountains this weekend.

Adrian- I was going to do it with a guy from my schools off-road club who drives a cherokee. He has daul lockers and a winch so I think we should be fine.
Also, Chinamans is going to be too far for a day trip. I definitily need to get out there someday.

You could do Carnage Canyon - in boulder/lefthand canyon area - description and pics here: http://traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=4

If you come to Carnage up here and run into problems, give me a call. I don't think I can hit the trail, but if you need a hand all I am doing tomorrow is hitting the job lists.

Supposedly that stays snowless a lot of the year, perhaps we can hit it later?

That is Buena Vista Carnage.

There is also Boulderish Carnage. I think Mike has done that one.

Yeah that one is the trail that is by Buena Vista that has a sign in the beginning that read " 35" tires minimum, dual lockers, high clearance, winch recomended, body damage likely."

I have seen people on that one- you won't like it too much.
