a couple of my buddies and i want to do a snow camping trip. not too much wheelin, just kicking back and playing in the snow. Capital forest seems like the ideal location based on how close and we'll have people coming up from the south. the website says that its only open apr - oct. is that the case? i just want to find an opening off a FS road and camp for the weekend. i'd just hate to plan on getting a bunch of people together and get out there only to find a locked gate.
