So I'm guessing this means he got his truck back to driveable condition?

Mines out of commission for now, hope its back up and running in time

Yep the things a pain in the ass! And my new rear lift is way unproportional to the front, I got the stink bug look going for my 4runner. Glad to hear yours is finally running right though!

yes, all major issues adressed, just has a bearing in the rear diff thats going out, besides that everythings fine. Not overheating, head not warped, steering not bent just a slipped cam bolt.
Took a little road trip up to his place to celebrate his birthday and me him and another toyota guy got it up and running and safe to drive.
We're planning on running the rubicon the 22nd and then doing this trip afterwards i believe, so really we'll be there if we can fix our trucks after the expected breakage!

Idiots at a quick lube place over torqued my oil pan bolt, now the threads are stripped and the pan is shot, gotta install a new one. Then I got a new lift for my rear, havent got the front yet. So the front has about a 3'' lift while the back is at about 6'' its terrible

So it will sit right here until everything is fixed

Good to hear, this trail is gonna seem like a freeway compared to the rubicon!

I sure hope not! the freeway's one of my most difficult obstacles!

but yes hopefully we'll be able to see his long travel in action, 4bangercraig is the guy who got me into crawling, his rig is pretty impressive!

Yeah I'm pretty stoked we have such a good turnout of rigs coming this year, It'll be nice to check out everyones stuff. I've never seen how long travel handles on the rocks. Actually this will be the first time I've really wheeled with a pretty large group

How many rigs are coming?
Ill be bringing one other 4runner similarly built to my truck with 35s lockers and gears.

Long travels interesting on the rocks, as the wheel travels up and down the camber doesnt change it just stays completely vertical so it grips better with the sidewall in notches and things like that, also youll get to watch him change a broken cv shaft in under 15 minutes! hahah its an impressive feat.

Nope, because I changed my oil once after they did...the threads were messed up then too but I was still able to get it back on. This time it finally gave out. so its probably on me. At least I learned to not let anyone change my oil but myself

This is going to be a car show off road rather than in a parking lot. who said there was going to be wheeling again?

I think the lesson is not to let anyone work on your car. They always do a half assed job at most places. You really have to look hard to find a place that does good work.
