Hey thanks for the offer. I'd hate to put you out. I'll try one of my buddies up in North County first.
I've been meaning to grab a welder myself, I want to learn. Then I can make one of those chain steering wheels like Cheech had. Just kiddin

i should put one of those on my runner and a set of those plastic autozone ghetto hubcaps with spinners on them. could you imagine the looks i'd get lining up with those jeep guys for the run.......

If you put on spinners and a chain wheel.....I'll put some neon tubes under my rig and maybe I'll hang one of those huge ball sacks under there too.
Or we could just put jeep logos on and try to fit in, maybe no one will notice. We're just XJ's right?
As far as where to meet up, I've never been out there. This is off the 8 correct?

we might need to set up an official yotatech camp. the base camp that sd4wheel has is huge with lots of rvs and generators going. last year i camped a little closer to the mountain. east of main camp maybe a 1/4 mile. i have a huge spotlight and cell phone reception out there is pretty good my #is 619 279 2177. i will try to be there the earliest so i can find a good spot and when anyone is approaching they can call and i'll turn on the spotlight and wave it in the air so you can find the camp.......... maybe some one can caravan with me with a gps and we can get a phone chain going with coordinates......

Ok. Im good to go, minus the registration. I'm sure it will be a zoo out there so maybe we can caravan out there from SD (hanglider park-n-ride)? If not, I'm positive everyone gets cell service out there, so coordinating wont be a problem.
What kind of runs you guys want to do? I'm set for anything up to 3+, but I'd prefer to take it easy.

I take it that everyone is heading out on friday. I'll be there early saturday.
Oh yeah, my buddy says that welding my tow points on is a bad idea. He says that it would require really good welds to be reliable enough. He recommended drilling through my frame to bolt them on. Any thoughts?
