Well I am back from my Mexican Riviera cruise FROM HELL!!
I am planning on coming out late Friday night-probably leave SD by 7-7:30pm. It depends on how things go. I am thinking Lost Dutchman would be good for us. I think the Rabbits Foot ones are going to be a little dull.

Do the SD4wheelers send you anything to confirm they got your registration and money?

they have never sent me a confirmation. usually when i get there i go straight to the safety inspection because if you wait till the morning it will be hell. then when you complete that go over to the registration table and check in. just outside the registration table are big bulletin boards with runs posted on them and friendly folks to answer your question as to whether a certain trail might be boring or too much for you. sign up for your run and then it's miller time...........(no booze on the trail runs of course) i will hopefully be on the road by 5 or 6 pm so if you can leave around that time feel free to call me and we can possibly caravan if not cell phone reception is very good out there due to cell towers on the mountain, you can call me and i will turn on my 10 million candlepower light and wave you in like a 747. they usually serve breakfast on saturday and sunday(breakfast burritos) and some kind of dinner on saturday night for a pretty reasonable price. so if you dont want to cook you dont have too. ok that's all i can think of now feel free to call me if lost or caravaning

I'm down to caravan, but my last guitar lesson will end at about 6:00 in Oceanside. I will then meet up with my girlfriend (if she decides to be nice) in Carlsbad to hand off my guitar gear. With that said I will be able to leave at about 6:30 from Carlsbad.

I don't want to hold mikey up, but if any one is planning on leaving around that time. I'm down to caravan. Otherwise, I'll be crankin "Hell Bent for Leather" and ridin solo.

Sweet,

My last lesson had an appointment... so now I'm free at 5:00 in Vista. If that helps anyone caravan.

i hope i can get out by 5 or 6 but you never know when the hell your leaving when it comes down to it. marc called me and raised a good point leaving at 5 could really suck on a holiday weekend. we'll all just try to keep in touch so we can all maybe meet somewhere on the way out there.

I am planning on taking off from Santee by 7:30. I will monitor channel 4, but as most of you know by now my cb sucks unless you are less than a 1/2 mile away.

I have Rob, Mikey, and Josh's cell #'s. If anyone needs mine let me know.

How many people are bringing wood? I may not have time to get any and still leave by my planned time.

I'm gonna try to bring some wood and I'm gonna make my XJ buddy bring some too. Leaving that early might be a pain. I'll be available for a caravan. Anyone with a V6 wanna push me up the hill before Golden Acorn???? J/K

Dumb question, but are there gas stations by Superstition?

I just looked at my wood situation. Everything is pretty soaked and I didn't realize that my girlfriend has been burning all the smaller stuff through the holidays.

All I have left are a bunch of wet stumps, sounds like the aftermath of a bad porno.

I have a couple of duraflames to get things started...sure makes it easier. And I'll grab what is dry. I'm gonna look for pallets later too.

If anyone else can bring wood that would be cool too. I'll do my best, though.

Looks like I'll be attending. My buddies all dropped out at the last minute, so I'm back to my original plan.

I'll be leaving the Temecula area early Saturday morning. Where should I meet up with you guys at? I have my FRS radio (yea, I know) and I'll tune it to channel 4

I'm hoping to get there around 8am, but that all depends on how early I wake up and get going.

If anyone would like to caravan from this area tomorrow early, give me a call.

-Adam

BTW- Anything special I should bring for the trip? I don't think I'll need anything besides water, food, TP , shovel, jack, etc.....

But, if you guys have any recommendations - speak!

I have to work tomorrow, I'll see how I feel afterwards. It's 250 miles one way, so I'm not too sure if it's worth it for one day.

That was posted after most of us left SD so I dont think anyone saw that.
Did you make it out there?
We were the only "group" of Toyotas around and we mostly stuck together, a little easier to find in a mess of Jeeps.

Hey, Phalanx, Great pics!

Sorry, we did not make it. We were working on my son's XJ, and we did not get it done.

Mike, too bad about your body damage. Looks pretty manly, though!

What run did you guys go on?

Jim

Nope, I did not make it. I ended up just going through some of ocotillo of SR22. I was about 30-40 miles from you (by way of crow).
