Its too bad, for those of you that werent there, that face is way steeper then it looks on the video, and its too bad u cant really tell how close both of you were to flopping your trucks.

I love how rob took his hat off when he starting gettin nervous.

But good video!! makes me nervous just watching it!

That doesn't work on my kid no more... She just says "shyeah, right!", shuts up for about 2 minutes, then starts again

Here's a couple more for ya'all.

Again please right click and save.

This dude in the Cherokee didn't have any seatbelts nor did he have a roll cage in his rig. Pretty scary to watch as it looked like he had couple of close calls.

Cherokee

This rig made it all look so damn easy.

Wow... there were so many people hanging out...

I really wanna try that rock someday, but not with THAT many people around that I don't know!

Thanks for posting up the vids Mike. Get out of the crud soon dood.

jim: Yeup, about 6 weeks ago from what he told me. I saw him last week for the first time in a long time and barely recognized him! He actually looked somewhat presentable! He's wearing suits and ties to work now ya' know.

tee-hee. Yeup, and even though I'm only locked in the rear. If it's dry I'd give it a shot. I don't expect to make it, but I'd like to try.

I'll admit though that watching how tippy that Jeep got was a bit interesting.

What I really thought was cool is that you're into the bow tie thing. It's a nice change of pace from all the straight ties around here.

Well... it WILL be fun to watch... Please make sure that I am there for it. The only problem that I foresee is that it's not a "oops, I didn't make it" kind of obstacle, once you get the rear wheels up on the ledge, backing down would be a SERIOUS risk. You might want to have a winch stationed up top, just in case you *sort of* make it

Oh dude, you are SO there!

In fact, you're at the top with me dangling from your nose even before I start! I've had that vision locked in my head for a while. If I start to slip back, I need an anchor to stop me from going nose over tail.

And of course... this will be a run I remember to bring the MD recorder to catch the screaming - 'cause I'm sure Shannon will be in rare form that day!

And just to add to the excitement... I'll be wearing that blue polka-dot tie you had on!

Watching you make an attempt at the rock wall should be interesting, we watched a rear locked front open diff jeep give it a shot, he needed the line from the top.

Hey mark! my truck is higher than yours now! woo hoo. I finally got new springs so its not a low rider anymore!!

Mark, I'm free Saturday if you want to make a "skinny pedal" attempt at the Face.

I can't do it Saturday, and Sunday I'm gonna make my latest attempt at the CV boot (along with some other stuff). I ain't getting anywhere near dirt or rock faces until that boot is fixed. (and/or I have a new axle in there)

We'll get there... just not in the next couple of weeks.

Cody... cool on you no longer being a low rider!

Hey Marky Mark,

As a few of us were watching people going up the face we were saying, " Hell you know if Midiwall was here he would be jumpin' at the chance to climb this thing!". I responded, "Oh hell yea and I would be encouraging the hell outta him just to see the crazy bastard do it to!". hehe

hahaha... Yeah, I bet you guys were saying JUST that too!

You guys know that I've drooled and shaken at that thing before... But just like when I finally took a stab at that damn rock garden/wash up there, I need to look at things a couple of times before I finally get the "crazies" high enough that I give it a shot.

Next time that we're up there and it's dry, I'm on it.

Hold on Shannon! We're gonna' HAMMER DOWN AND GET'R DONE!

I'm trying again on Sunday, so I'll know better after that if I need ya'.

Rob quick-spoke me a way to do this where I don't have to disassemble the lower ball joint. So if I can't get it apart, I have a 2nd hope.

Shannon pointed me to this thread which gives me hope as well:

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f16/cv-boot-replacement-42125/

I don't fear pulling this apart, I just can't GET it apart!
