As nice as a thought as that is it would end up full of bullets so I can bet no one would want to fund it just for that reason. Just by Sunday when Crash and I went up there he could already tell that people had rummaged through the pile of tires, rearranged them and were probably hoping to find something good. If you left a dumpster up there all the time you'd have all kinds of people going through them and shooting them. People can't seem to just leave ˟˟˟˟ alone.

Good point, I guess i just thought being in the open main pit people wouldnt mess with it. But they are such a-holes up there they dont care where it is they are goin to screw with it no matter what.

I was working one day tearing down an old barn at my boss' rental house, and we had to clean out all the crap that was in there that the renters had stacked in there. Well we put it all out in there yard, and when they got home they were like wtf is this? and we said its your crap you take it to the dump, so he says screw that, looks like a mountain run. I said dont be doin that ˟˟˟˟, thats the kinda crap that gets 4wheelin trails closed down for us, ppl like u screwin it up. I told him to at least go find a dumpster behind a building and drop it off at a dumpster instead of the woods. Chances are he didnt listen and went straight for the mountains. I dont know why cuz there was a local dumpster right down the frickin street from his house.

I would have offered to help as a cover for "escorting" them to a proper disposal facility.

I am still waiting on Smegal's video... I am DYING to see that. I have pieced the bits together that the guy shot with his digi-cam, but the quality is pretty low, it's pretty grainy. It's hard for me to watch, especially when my left-front tire comes off the ground and I already tipped so far over...

Any more pictures people? Send them my way so nothing good gets left out of the write-up.

I don't even see the point of illegal dumping in a neighborhood dumpster...
Granted, it's better than them dumping it in the woods...but you can take a truckload of stuff to the "official" dump and get rid of it forever for something like $17. Money well spent, IMHO.

(although I am somewhat spoiled with the dump being about a mile from my house...er...or is that a spoiled smell?)

I agree Jim, but not all people see it that way. Some people would burn $20 of gas to save $17.

How about you let me take your right seat to show me how it's done? After watching the video and seeing that it looked just as bad from the outside as it felt from inside, I am going to not press my luck for a while

But you are correct, the rush was cool, as is the feeling of accomplishment that is still lingering. The worst part is that I know I am going to want to go up that thing again at some point and get a better line Just not until I forget about what it felt like...

Muhahhahahahhahahhahahha Let's do it

After watching a couple of people go up that thing and now critiquing the video of my rig on it, I need even more articulation than I have and I need to get some bead locks so I can keep the tires on the rims at even lower pressures. It looks like if I had either a bit better traction or a bit more flex, the whole thing would have been a lot more graceful. With both, I might have turned in a performance that I was proud of, instead of just making it up.

Time to start scheming...

After seeing Rob Haul ass down the roads on the fall color runs I think I'm going to frame any thread where he mentions fear/nervousness

hahahhaha At speed, there is no time for fear. Blink and you are toast. However, crawling up that beast at less than a mile an hour I had PLENTY of time for reflection

When I was causing Corey to suck my passenger seat into his butt, if anything had gone wrong, it would have been over in an instant. On that rock, things would have happened with agonizing slowness

Cool You Got That Right Mrs Crash...

Rob was haul'in some SERIOUS ass down those roads!

My friggin brakes were glowing from standing on 'em 50 feet from the hairpins!!

It WAS fun, though! I learned a lot from Rob (how to pick the front seat out of your ass, for instance, right after you make it around a hairpin you had no right to make)

He he he

I didn't find any scarry points in that intire trip... Actually, I was enjoying the hair pin turns... My daughter, on the other hand, learned quickly not to say "Is *THIS* all we came out here for? This is boring!" hehe

LOL well the tv in the back cuts down on alot of the "are we there yet's" but I do remember at one point the kids asking if they could go home now and we offered to let them out so they could walk. I don't think we got anymore can we go homes now after that.
