update:

stickers just arrived and it looks sweet! I have been told that these stickers are best on the glass and not on paint/chrome (as it might ruin it). I'll be there in the evening (10pm-midnight) so please have your cb/frs on so I can find ya guys on the beach

Btw, I'll start handing them out as soon as I'm there! woohoo!

EDIT:

how late can we arrive prior to the gates closing? Or does the gates close at all? since I will be arriving after dark I just want to make sure I can get in. I guess if they close early I gotta get outta work earlier eh. btw, I have a rsvp so I know I'm ok.

The guard booth closes at 11pm so you can't purchase a camping spot after that, but there are no gates and beach access doesn't close.

Brad:
I have a rsvp, does that mean that I need to check in at the guard booth to pass thru or get a tag/sticker that says I can camp on the dunes? since I've never been there I really don't know what to expect.

I've never actually made a reservation in advance before, but I'm sure you're fine . If you get there before 11pm they will stop you at the booth and you can show them your reservation. Otherwise just drive onto the beach and if a ranger asks you can show your reservation. Then the next day just go check in at the ranger booth.

I just stopped by Costco - they were fresh out of clubbed seals but I got some burgers, dogs, trail mix, etc... forgot the cashews though.

I found that sticker I was looking for - I'm going to see if I can find anyone who'll duplicate it.

I don't know if anyone's seen it but it's got a picture of a seal with a tear and it reads, "Stop Seal Clubbing! The 2004 Seal Conservation Conference"

I'll have to get some made and passed out to those who know it means

I'm bringing my cheap $20 Rite-Aid brand gas grill. Did the job just fine last year I'll have to invest in one of those cool fold up ones later though...

Those LC tires should be fine from what I remember. Just air down alot and you should be fine. I know you have that power tank so I know you'll have no problems airing back up
Good Times,

I'm still on with the caravan. I'll call you on Thursday to coordinate.

Cool deal
I'm leaving work at 530ish in Corona so I can be around the El Monte/San Gabriel/Alhambra area by 630/645 (depending on the traffic on the 10w).

We can meet up anywhere you want since I'll be swinging by in that direction.

I'll be expecting your call

Anyone in the 626 are or surrounding area that want to caravan up, give us a buzz/pm so we can all caravan up.
