We are going to head up there this weekend and we will definitely get some pics for ya.

Just depends on what trails you want to try.

Don't worry about getting stuck.. There will be other rigs/people who won't leave you hanging.. If something breaks then we work as a team to get you home, etc....

As far as it goes.. Try to get as much stuff done as possible, but don't go breaking the bank for mods since it is not that hard.

we will hopefully get some pics up Saturday night.
dude ive had the air stuff for months just never mounted it, so its time. there is no way my old ass is going to break the bank, im to damn responsable

hey I am looking for BJ's as well. not sure i wanna do an sas and after seeing a buggy done here recently with IFS i am even more impressed.

On another note Mike, the wife and I are going tomorrow!!! we got a sitter for the kiddo. I will bring my camera as well and hopefully get some good stuff.

I got the call from the guy fixing my CB today and where i thought it would be fixed, he hadn't even torn into it yet. he just diagnosed the problem
I am pretty peved cause he told me I should just buy a new CB. went to buy a new one and they had axact same CB for 200 bucks and then they told me they could fix mine for a max of 90 bucks.... Grrrrr

I am going to start compiling a list of runs and trails and rate them on terms of terrain, scenic value, and recomendations for use. once I get a good start going I will try to either post it here or on another website that I create.
the stats will be based on a 1-8 with a description for each like many other outdated rating. the scenic value will be based on a few factors like history and the area itself.

and just for giggles the hogsback and peligreen trails at this time would rate at about a 4 with a few areas being 6.

from all the research i have done over the last eight rears on rock crawling the best advice i can give is, run what you have and if it breaks on you to much then you should do a SAS if that is what you would want. My self personally I like IFS and am hoping my granfather driving keeps me from breaking. If my plans work out I may up-grade my IFS to long travel. From my understanding people who break halfshafts use to much skinny pedal and not enough gears, plus that is what a wench is for when you think you might break.

the order of importance for mods go's like like this

1. lockers

2. armor/ wench

3. tires/gears

4. sas

by time you get to #4 you will really know if you need a sas or ifs or long travel. A do it your self sas including making every part your self for the hangers and such will be around $1000. if you use a kit between $2000 and $3000. dana 44's are cool but with my research a diamond housing at the same width is stronger and lighter.

well i got back just a while ago and while the snow is melting fast there was enough to keep me from making the whole trip in. 4 of us went up today and beside getting stuck in the snow i had a blast. got to use my winch a few times and learned why a toy can go places a chevy dare not. lol besidesa the snow i feel as if this would be a good trip for multiple rides and skill levels. from what i seen there is every type of trail rating here from mild to wild.... may should be a blast!!!

Yea it was a good time. But it gives you an idea about the area., its hard to see everything through the snow but you get the idea! lol

Also those tires are very good ones, especially in the snow.

you know i think if i had BJ spacers i may have been able to make that yesterday. it was my cross member that was pushin so much snow. little more angle and i may have cleared

That first little place we went up was pretty cool. I like having to squeez through trees and having to know where your tires are sitting, how wide you are in comparison to how wide the trees are... pretty cool little hill

Its possible john. What you really needed was more like you suggested clearance.
Im not sure if the bj spacers would have given you much more. It may have been possible, but bigger tires would have made the most difference in my opinion.
