So far we have the following joining:
- Scottiac
- Bulldog
- Bob
- Good Times (either in own rig or with Bob )
- Chiefiji (?? need to confirm)
- 04Runner (?? need to confirm)
- Robinhood (need to confirm another rig ??)
- Gapguy (need to confirm)
- RBLACAUSA (????)

Those who I listed as ??? just say whether you are coming or not, it's difficult to go through a zillion posts everytime. ANybody I missed just shout. Looks like a good group of vehicles going.

I think for communication we should just use CBs this time. If you dont have one just get a handheld one. I might get an enternal antenna so mine should work this time.

Please make own accomodations, Scott listed the Furnace creek campsite which will be good for camping. I will probably be the only one staying at StovePipe Wells for domestic reasons , at least I can take GF and doggie then.

We can fill up every morning at breakfest as we will be cricling back, and get stuff for luch, etc. So not really roughing it out in DV.

Anything missing??

None of them more than moderate in the trail guides I looked at. Scott also said their are no real super difficult trails in DV, at least the ones we will do.

Looks like...

- Scottiac (fri PM -> tue PM)
- Bonnie (Scottiac's mom, taco dbl cab, but may ride with S.)
- Bulldog( fri PM -> tue PM)
- Bob (fri PM -> sun PM)
- Good Times (fri PM -> sun PM, either in own rig or with Bob )
- Chiefiji (?? need to confirm)
- 04Runner (?? need to confirm)
- Robinhood (need to confirm another rig ??) Maybe
- Gapguy (need to confirm)
- RBLACAUSA (????)

Have I got that right?

bulldog, schedule looks good; sat and sun will be long days, and mon/tue are pretty up in the air because of construction, but we can wing that appropriately.

Hey guys, bad news!

And like Scottiac warned us, get your reservations early. Too bad I didn't heed that advice because EVERYTHING is booked up. I called Furnace Creek, the other hotel place, and DV Campground---all booked up that weekend.

Thus, did anyone purchase campground spots and are willing to share/split the cost with either Lance or myself? Conceivably, Lance and I can come in one vehicle. No big deal. But can someone get back to us? We'd really like to make this trip!

oh man.

I'm loaded up, two vehicles in my site already (and I only booked for one).

Who has lodging, and who doesn't? We may need to have a "backcountry" camp group after all, and we'll just link up in the mornings.

Scott, is there is trail closeby either Furnace Creek or Stoevpipewells were they can make a "camp spot", and then just pop in for facilities (apart from Bob maybe )??

Well, I'm still at ????, maybe even ?????? as I want to get my spacer lift installed and some real tires on first. Also need a CB and other incidentals. Also, looks like camping is in order so I'll have to get some gear as well. Small chance the wife and Little People may want to come, though I think I'll ship them off to Palm Springs instead. I can see this is gonna become an expensive hobby, and I haven't even broken anything yet.

Looking at your agenda. You could always stay at a motel in Beatty, NV and meet at Scotties Castle on Sat morning. My first year, the campsites at SW were all booked too, but I was able to get an RV space and just pitched my tent between the 2 RVs. My backup was a primitve campsite on the way to Cottonwood Cyn. I could be wrong or things might have changed, but I think the RV spot I got was 1st come 1st serve.

Good luck...

Yes it's legal, as long as you are above sea level, and off the roads. I'll hunt down the official policy, and look for likely spots near our mustering areas. Steve might have some suggestions as well.

There are a couple at FC. I'll call em tomorrow morning about it, but I'm not too optimistic. The rsvp site shows no availability, but I'll see what I can do...
