I started packing, and will bring my small grill, some steakes and table, etc to BBQ Sat night
I also got some mini beer kegs, so we can do lots of "mod planning" Sat night

See you guys Sat morning!!!

You guys fine with the driving time for Sat and Sun??

Teh guys leaving SUn can duck out at the 178 once we are done with Butte Valley Road. Should be mid afternoon or so.

I'll see you guys when we get there on Friday night. I don't finish work until 12 so by the time I get home, grab the family and get on the road it will be 2pm.

Where are you guys planning to sleep Fri night? I guess will hook-up via CB 4.

Lance - Did you want a copy of the contact list? Bob should have a copy now. Send me a pm with your email if you do want a copy.

I am planning to BBQ on Sat. night. I have a small grill which people are welcome to use (after mw )
Expat,

i didn't get a copy of the list, but check your PM. i sent you my cell phone #

Hey group,
How was the trip? I have been lurking around here for a while and I just happend to be at DV this weekend too. I think I saw some/most of the group. Were you guys headed up rainbow canyon (190) at about 9:30 or 10:00 Sat. morning? I was headed down and passed 5 or 6 TOYs in a row headed up.

Dave

Dave,

That was defintely us. You should have joined us, we had a great Saturday run and an even better Sunday run. I just got back a few hours ago and will be posting pictures later this week. I must say I'm surprised to find that there is still not a trip report thread started by anybody whop was there.

We went to Saline Valley Road on Saturday and then cut back via LippenCott Rd to the Racretrack and then back to the crater and SPW.

Sun we did Butte Valley Rd, Mengel Pass through Goler wash and then to Ballarat and back to Furnace Creek via WIldrose and Emmigrant canyon.

Expat did both days in his stock 4Runner with the whole famile and camping goods, so it was pretty heavy. And no real probs for him.

I wish I would have had more time and planning. We stayed in Lone Pine friday night and did the valley on Sat. We needed to be back in town on Sun. It took hours to get the bug guts off of the front of my Runner when I got home. Yuck!!!! Glad to hear you had a good trip. I'll keep my eyes open for a local meet.

Alright, I'll start one up in a few minutes. Its just my photo's came out kinda sucky, and my grammar skills leave something to be desired.

I'm still downloading my pics from my laptop to my home PC so I can sort through all of them. I didn't get as many shots of the trail and offroading stuff as my "photographer" was more interested in the flowers

pretty strange how busy it was. fortunately we were out in the backroads most of the time and didn't have to deal with the crowds too much. I almost thought they had an article about our little trip
