I'm more likely to come if I can run the harder trails.
It's an informal process. Everyone gathers around the the night before and talks about what trails they want to run the next day. This process makes you talk to other Toyota owners to find out what kind of rig they have & what trails they like to run. The groups gather at camp in the morning and take off from there.

If you are looking to run hard trails, I'd suggest Holy Cross (we have a good running it on Fri to avoid the weekend traffic that trails sees), BV Carnage on Sat. and whatever on Sunday. The past 2 years I haven't ran anything on Sunday due to breakage (myself & others) from the 2 days before.

Holy Cross is pretty much a single trail day. BV Carnage is tough to judge. The trail is only .9 miles long but has taken us up to 12 HOURS to drive After a 12 hour day, we usually head back to camp and

We always talk about running Chinamans for a night run but never get around to it.

Ok, I'll be there. I'll probably bring the 80 this year (since I bought it right after CO4RJ last year). I'm up for Iron Chest and Chinaman's and maybe some of the passes again. Last year was a blast!

If you do, just remember to bring your own spare parts for when you break something. None of us will be able to help.

I don't mind if you come, but as we're related, I kinda have to say that.

Bad dog!

Hey guys, they were so distracted keeping an eye on the trail, what with the dog driving and all... We were lucky the only thing that fell off was a ring.

And for those of you who aren't super-mega equipped, my rig hasn't evolved much beyond last year so I'll be doing slightly less devastating trails Friday and Saturday - stuff that's tough but not ridiculous, and a little more adventurous, but not one-mile-in-12-hours Carnage crazy.

Too many repairs, not enough mods, y'know? Cross your fingers I can get locked before I come up, if nothing else.

Join me for the second-annual Not So Radical Runs, going on at a CO4RJ near you.

Yeah it was a good time, with a good spot you could probably get through it without winching. Look forward to making it out again this year... Still a few trails I haven't hit.

Scotty from Addicted Off Road has always supported the Colorado 4Runner Jamboree with some killer raffle items in the past. This year is no exception! We'll see what he comes up with. Thanks again for all the support Scotty!

So, what's the complete schedule for the week? Is anyone running trails the weekend of July 24-25? My BIL just announced that he will be returning for a visit from China that extends through the next weekend so I'm probably not going to get a hall pass for those dates.

I am hoping to make it this year for sure. Will also be joining the "Not So Radical Runs, going on at a CO4RJ near you".

What are the correct dates for this? July 30 (only Holy Cross), 31, and August 1?
Do I need to reserve a spot?
Is it primitive camping or is there toilets?

I am planning on coming to setup camp on Friday and then wheel Saturday and Sunday. I want to do Mount Antero and spend some time looking for gemstones and semiprecious metals and then whatever other trail I can get in.

The Notso Runs are coming, so long as I can afford to be there this year.

Off-Road.com has agreed to more coverage of the CO4RJ this year, too, but it might turn into a bit of a tourist piece. We'll see where the story leads.

How's Mt. Antero? Looks interesting. I'd like to find a way to the Devil's Punchbowl, too, if any of the other "Notso" crew wants to join me.

Most of the people that have expressed interest about the CO4RJ on this thread will be there July 30th, July 31st, and Aug. 1st. Scotty was planning on showing the Cali guys around the week before the Jambo. I can't speak for what trails they are planning to run. I'd ask in this thread (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=846896)
