Aaron - I talked to Blake last night and don't wait for us to start holy cross. We are going to be leaving 45min later so we will probably be getting to the trailer as you are starting the trail. We'll catch up.

Thanks for the heads up Jeff! You're welcome to chain your trailer to mine as well as put stuff in the bed of the truck (Blake too). Just don't scratch my dad's truck Make sure you guys take some pics on the way up.

Has anybody taken Shrine Pass Rd to Holy Cross to bypass Vail? Google maps shows it as taking the same amount of time but 20 miles shorter. I just don't want to try a shortcut that ends up being a slow washboard/ rutted road and adding an hour.

That's the way DIRTCO is going. This was from his email "I think John and I will take Shrine Pass to Red Cliff, then the highway to Holy Cross". I can email you his email address and you can ask him. I'm not familiar with that area.

It looks like a scenic dirt road. I would rather do that then be on I-70. I think we will give it a try.

I get off of work @ 4. Gotta pick up a chainsaw and get some groceries. I'll get everything packed and the 4Runner loaded on the trailer. Hopefully I will be leaving Pueblo @ 6-7pm.

Just talked to Scotty. We have the same campsite so we're good to go! Anyone have a chainsaw they can bring? It would save me 45 minutes of having to pick one up from a friend of mine. If not, I don't mind borrowing his for the weekend.

I have a chainsaw.. I would need to pick up some 2-cycle oil & a gas can. (It isn't 100% reliable... It ran the last time I used it about a year ago.)
