Here's the coordinates for the campsite (38.858218,-106.055866). Just copy & paste them into Google Maps.

I'd put this in the first post but every time I edit it, it loses all the RSVP's. I'll just keep adding info into the thread. I also plan on changing the 4 mile PDF link. Stay the Trail no longer has it posted on their site. I saved the PDF from last year and will upload it to my server tonight and post the link.

Hey guys I am not yet doen building up my 88 runner 3.0. By then it will only have 1.5 bj spacer, new rear springs, 4.88 gears maybe rear locker. Would this be capable of any of the trails?

Here's the trails I'd recommend with your setup
Boulder Mountain
Grizzly Lake
Mount Antero
Mount Princeton
Tincup Pass
Wheeler Lake (rear locker would help on this trail)

Let me know if you need a volunteer leader/gunner.

Is Holy Cross still open? I heard rumors it was closed.

I'd like to come, have to see what the schedule holds as we get closer.

One other question, can you trailer to the base of most of the trails? I'm spooled in the rear with sticky Krawlers and my rig REALLY hates pavement!

You can to Chinaman's and Carnage. Most of the other are doable too, but you may have to do some short pavement driving at times.

Thanks. Short = a few hundred yards or Short = several miles?

Carnage would definitely be on my list and it sounds like there is a parking lot right at the base of it.

So I missed this last year but would a pretty much stock (minus the 3.4) be able to do any trails? This is my DD and I don't want to mess it up. Just wondering if not it would still be a fun camping trip.

I was doing some research on Colorado trails and came across a thread in a forum (can't remember which one) that said it was scheduled for closure after last year's season. Don't know if that happened or not.

I would highly recommend Mount Antero. Trail goes to 13,875' - not many places you can get a view like that.

That was Carnage Canyon in Boulder. Not to be confused with Carnage Canyon in Buena Vista.

I'll have to take a look at the trails you guys (and girls) finally decide on running. I only have 31's but am locked front and rear as of today so my biggest hang up (pun intended ) is ground clearance.

This sounds like a heck of a lot of fun though.

Thanks for the clarification. Amazingly, even though I live next door in Nebraska, I've never wheeled in Colorado. California? Yes. Utah? Yes. Colorado? Not sure why not.

You can tow to Holy Cross as well. We park about 1/2 mile in on Homestake road (rough dirt road). Unload and then drive the 3-4 miles with the rigs.

Any progress on picking trails? Do you run multiple trails each day for differning levels of rig/driver capability or is it just one trail each day?

I'm more likely to come if I can run the harder trails.
